This was presented as a b&b. There was no staff just a door code and a bagel sandwich for breakfast. Basically an air b&b room. This should be stated in the Expedia listing

We only stayed for one night but it was great! The property was beautiful and very clean. The parking was easy and it was in the perfect location. I loved that our room had a Nespresso fully stocked and the breakfast and snack area in the lobby is such a nice and appreciated touch.

My room was a well furnished suite with a very comfortable king bed. There was plenty of room to spread out and a welcoming common area downstairs with lots seating inside, and on the porch.

The property is very beautiful, what I expected. The room is clean and I love the Nespresso coffee, water, & snack bar. My only complaint is it’s very noisy; other patrons are treating the common area as if it’s an Air Bnb; yelling up the stairs to one another, & just loud. It’s not the restful night I thought I’d have. I really love the room and area but maybe a stay during the week would be better.

Good stay, nice facility - had trouble using coffee maker, more complicated than I am familiar with! My room #2 was vey small, which was ok, but was cold and could regulate the temp! Will be using your facility again and would like location of others! I left my glasses, went back and your service lady had them for me! Greatly appreciated her kindness!!!!!!

The Ashley was the perfect choice for our quick stay in Charleston. Easy parking and check-in, waters and snacks available in the lobby, breakfast and coffee was delicious and convenient, and the room and bed were comfortable and spacious. We will definitely be back!

So much potential but poorly run

The property is managed by a property manager rather than an innkeeper. There were many problems. Our kitchen wasn’t clean, the promised breakfast was late and not good. The website says housekeeping is included but the housekeeper didn’t show. When I asked her about it she said I had to request service and pay for it. The coffee machine wasn’t working, the creamer was not fresh. The attention to detail is sorely lacking. The Carriage house is cute, but the service was absolutely terrible for $500+ per night. There was no space in the bathrooms for toiletries. Towel hooks were positioned next to the toilet. Absolutely no amenities. Waters were promised in the rooms and never provided. This property has potential but the execution needs work.

Beautiful old inn. Only issue was locating parking. Had to circle the block. Maybe if on site they tell you turn into parking lot beside the inn not near the main entrance
