Welcoming holiday home in Bourton on the Water - Ross House

Ross House is a contemporary and comfortably styled Cotswold holiday cottage which sleeps five guests, in three bedrooms, with a shower room. The ground floor has been tastefully renovated to create an open plan layout with a beautiful kitchen, equipped with many mod-cons and a rustic wooden breakfast bar. At the rear of the house, the bright sitting room opens up directly onto the garden with large bi-fold doors, ideal for relaxing! Tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac, Ross House provides a little haven away from the hustle and bustle of the village, whilst still being a short walk from the wonderful amenities. Ross House also welcomes one medium size dog, so they can join in the holiday fun too!

Fantastic home in a great location

Ross House was a clean, spacious and wonderful home to stay as a base to explore the area. A short walk (about 15mins) to Bourton and close to other lovely areas such as Stow on the Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh, the Slaughters, Bibury and Burford. Great communication with the owner and I’d happily recommend this home if you’re looking to stay in the area!

Lovely location and comfortable home

The house was comfortable and in an excellent location, walking distance to the village. The kitchen was well equipped beds were comfortable. My only recommendation would be thicker curtains or blinds to block out the sun in the morning.

Cotswolds Weekend Away!

We stayed at Ross House for a birthday weekend away, using it as a base to explore Bourton-on-the-water and Stow-on-the-wold. We loved the decor, the bed was super comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The house being dog friendly was also a bonus, and the dog treats were a nice touch. It was a home away from home. A beautiful house that I would recommend to anyone for a break away to the Cotswolds. Mark was also very helpful, responsive and flexible with check-in and check-out times. Thank you!

Lovely house. Tastefully decorated. Comfortable beds and ideally located. The only 2 criticisms would be that the fridge is noisy and the lounge sofa is not comfortable, nor are the chairs beside it. This means it’s not overly comfy to sit and chill in the house of an evening.

Excellent location

Excellent location to explore the cotswalds. Within walking distance of the town. The kitchen is quite tired looking. Dishwasher door hanging to the side and a draw did not close properly which effected the top draw. The shower was not very powerful. Not big issues and we still had a lovely time. But perhaps the kitchen needs some tlc.

Ross House Review

I would highly recommend Ross House. It was in a great location, was clean and tidy and was a beautiful house. They stay was made even better as it had been decorated beautifully for Christmas which made our stay very special. The only issue we had was the bed in the 3rd bedroom was very uncomfortable and difficult to sleep in.

Lovely , well equipped house

Ross house was perfectly situated for walking into Bourton on the water. The house was beautiful, clean, well equipped and the towels and bed linen was vey nice. The artificial grass and a dog ( you are asked to not let your dog toilet on the grass) is a bit of a struggle when the doors are open and you can’t always notice if they have been to the toilet . Other than that the stay was perfect and we would definitely go back

Comfortable stay and extremely clean

Ross House is situated on a housing estate on the edge of Bourton on the Water approximately a 10 minute walk into the centre of the village. The house was immaculately clean, comfortable and very well kept. The beds were very comfortable with good quality bed linen. The garden was also very well kept and the driveway was a bonus. As someone has already mentioned in a previous review, the kitchen and dining area are very dark although this didn’t really affect our stay as we were out all day.

Couldn’t have been better

Ross House is in an excellent location , only a 10 minute walk from the centre, and it is a really comfortable home from home! There were lovely little extras on arrival which was great and much appreciated but what impressed us the most was the cleanliness of the property! It was immaculate! Great location

We had a great time at Ross House. Only a short walk to all of the pubs, shops etc. very nice little touches in the property. The only criticism that we had were squeaky floor boards upstairs kept waking our 9 month old baby. He is a light sleeper, so we found every time we walked away after putting him down, the noise would wake him again. This obviously would not be an issue for everyone and we would recommend the property.

Week stay with family

We had a love 5 days at Ross House. We were 4 adults, a baby and a dog and felt we had plenty of room in the property. It was close to Bourton on the Water and in a good location to drive to other places within the cotswolds. The house itself was very warm and clean. The only few areas to improve would be 5pm check in is quite late where most other places are 3pm. Some of the door handles were quite loose and there was no mop which would have been handy for muddy paws coming in and out of the garden! Otherwise very quiet and peaceful stay!

Ross House Staycation

I enjoyed 4 nights here with my partner and dog. Very dog friendly in a great location, 10 minute walk into the main town of Bourton on the water. You can tell the house has recently been updated and decorated to give a modern feel however, the main issue was the bathroom. The cleanliness and standard of this was very disappointing. Dirt and dust around the floor, mouldy and worn away skirting boards. The shower looked as though it hasn’t had a good clean in a while, grime on all of the tiles. Very disappointing considering the cleanliness of the rest of the house.
