TÀmÀ koti on erityinen paikka meille ja on ollut perheessÀmme yli 50 vuotta. Vuosien varrella olemme tehneet kotiin paljon pÀivityksiÀ. Sijainti on 3 hehtaarin ranta-alue, Cox CreekillÀ, josta on uskomattomat lÀnsimaiset nÀkymÀt upeiden auringonlaskujen kanssa. Rentoutuminen 3 vuodenajan aurinkohuoneessa ja auringonlaskun katseleminen on vÀlttÀmÀtöntÀ! PanoraamanÀkymÀt veteen voidaan saada useimmista kodin huoneista. Keskeinen sijainti mahdollistaa pÀivÀretket DC: hen, Annapolisiin, Baltimoreen ja St. Michaels.

Great location for a relaxing, fun, family vacation

Our family (ages 16 - 73) enjoyed our week here very much. Harry and Scott were great to work with and were always available to answer questions. We were aiming for a relaxing, low key week so we didn't stray too far from the house for adventures, but that just goes to show we had everything we needed right there. The highlight of our week was crabbing. Throughout the week we caught over 8 dozen keeper crabs using hand lines (way more if you include all we threw back). We had steamed crabs for dinner or lunch 4 times while there! We took walks daily through the neighborhood, played games, assembled puzzles (that we brought along), and just overall had a very pleasant week. When we did leave the house we went to The Fisherman's Inn (best cream of crab soup around), Lowry's Produce Market (for delicious corn and tomatoes), Sugar Doodles on multiple occasions for ice cream treats, breakfast sandwiches, or coffee drinks, and the Safeway for whatever groceries we needed. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out when they wanted some privacy but there's also tables large enough for when the whole family wanted to gather for meals, games, etc. The kitchen was also very well stocked, I don't think there was anything we needed that wasn't available. If I could make any recommendation for improvement (because I always try to leave a balanced review) it would be to upgrade the mattresses, but otherwise there were plenty of comfy pillows, blankets, and towels.

Perfect Getaway

We rented this property as a home base for my daughter's commissioning week in Annapolis. While the forums warned us against renting a property across the bridge due to potential congestion, we never encountered it on our drives because we were usually driving in the opposite direction. The property itself was very clean and reminded my parents of their childhood homes in a comfortable, nostalgic way. The weather was less than fantastic while we were there which made the sunroom even more appealing as a way to spend some time "outside" but still warm and out of the wind and rain. The Blue Angels show was rained out but my parents were just as happy with the Purple Angels (there's a birdhouse occupied by purple martens on the next property over) show they watched over Cox Creek.

WONDERFUL experience, property and location!

We travel regularly and use VRBO properties almost exclusively and I can strongly verify that this was fabulous. While there were only 4 of us traveling this time, the home can accommodate many more comfortably. The hai use was clean, well appointed and comfortable. The views and waterfront amazing! 4th of July Getaway

Great house for a few days fishing and crabbing by the bay. Very comfortable for our group of 8. The house is as advertised, well appointed and in a great location. Plenty of room inside and out. Scott was very communicative from the moment we confirmed our rental. Highly recommend this house and if you go over the 4th of July weekend you’ll have a great view of several fireworks displays!

Beautiful sunset views over the water

Fabulous family getaway

We had a wonderful stay at Harry at Scott’s home on the bay. Our 4 children range in ages from 1-15, and the house had plenty of space for all of us. Everything was just as we hoped it would be! The house is super clean, and the views from the pier were spectacular. Many great restaurants within a short drive, and everything we needed was easily accessible. We were even able to bring our small boat, and the crabbing was great - whether using hand lines from the pier or traps in the bait. Would definitely love to stay here again!

A family dream fulfilled

We visited the area because my husband’s mother had grown up on the Chesapeake Bay. He has always wanted to see the home which is part of Sandy Beach State Park. We were able to make this happen. I wanted to find a place to stay that would make our visit special. Scott and Harry’s home on Kent island do just that. It is a beautiful place. Quiet, spacious, and comfortable. Scott made it easy to book the home and his father, Harry, was gracious to show us around and make us feel welcome. All in all it’s a great place where you can relax. It was perfect for our visit. We would love to come back and explore more. Thank you for helping me fulfill a dream.
