Booked 4 nights and spent only 1, foul smell in the room, the area around the hotel is awful. It turned out the hotel is lgbt focused and that information is not provided before booking, I was mislead into believing this was a good hotel for either a business trip or a family trip which is not the case.

Staying Warm

We celebrated our anniversary weekend downtown Chicago (where we got engaged) and this was a perfect location. It was bitterly cold but we got to everything (restaurants, theater, museum) on foot. The giant remote-controlled blind on the picture window revealed the city in all it's glory. It's a hip, modern, no-frills hotels so space is definitely limited. But it was cozy for two love birds 😉

About 50 minutes from ORD (including a half mile walk from Clark/Lake station). Centrally located for seeing downtown Chicago. Room is modern, simple and an efficient use of space. The technology integration is an interesting feature allowing guests to experience a bit of smart stay (blinds, curtains, lights, and TV all controlled from a UI on an iPad mini in the room. Check In/Out was mostly self-service with a front desk staff there to assist if there were any issues. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Citizen M.
