Reasonable walking distance from the L train station heading into Chicago. The Holiday Inn sign is small and the tree in front of the sign made it difficult to find.

Great location! We traveled for a concert at Soldier Field and needed to stay only one night. It was fantastic! We chose this location because of the price compared to many other options around this same area and closer to downtown Chicago. It was much cheaper, but just as nice, if not better, than staying closer to the venue. The best part was it was within walking distance (less than 5 mins) to a train station, which takes you right to The Loop within the hour. *** I will advise though, if going to a show at Soldier Field, leave earlier than you think you'll need to! The buses get backed up near the venue the closer it gets to the show. Beds were very comfortable, room was spotless, and staff were incredibly nice. I felt very safe at this location as a female in my 20s, even at 1 am when we were coming back after the show. Very quiet, nice neighborhood. Parking was a breeze. I definitely recommend the breakfast as well! It was well worth the additional cost. Thank you for a great stay!
My breakfast! Soft scrambled eggs, thick bacon, both pork and turkey sausage options (I chose turkey) breakfast potatoes and french toast with blueberries! Well worth the $10 we paid.

Otherwise it was great

The room and staff was great. My only complaint is the noisy fridge was amplified by the cabinet. The property is going down hill. The pool was closed, the covered garage area was very dark and scummy. Hardly any lighting and soiled hosiery. I was overwhelmed by the smell of earthy colgne;-). The carpet in the lobby was visibly stained. Looks like they gave up maintaining the hard assets in that structure.

Great location!

The location of this hotel was phenomenal! Close to a lot of restaurants, shopping, and the train. It was an older hotel and I disliked the parking ramp, but it was a reasonable hotel in a good location.
