Heating system did not work. No maintenance on site at night so we were told we were out of luck. They refused to send anyone to our room to check it out to help fix it. We checked out less than an hour into our stay.

Construction in some areas!

I’ve stayed at Holiday Inn’s before with no issue, but this one was disappointing to say the least. They are renovating different areas, and they were doing the 3rd floor and I believe the breakfast area while we were there. We were told they would not work after 8 pm and would start after breakfast time. We could hear people working all through the night the first night and didn’t stop until 11 the second night. They started at 6:00 the next morning and it was loud banging and drilling all day. I’m sure once renovations are done, it will be better, but the construction was not on their website anywhere. Room overall was clean but needs updates. Shower curtain had mold on it and air conditioner vent had a lot of debris in it. The cleaning staff was very friendly and accommodating.

They Double charged me and the employee there on the day we left was very unknowledgable and i think shes the one that charged me again. And she only charged me 98 dollars which makes me believe that expedia overcharges people. Not using expedia or holiday inn anymore.

It was a great overall stay good location and very convinient area. Lots to do everything not too far. Great service and very friendly. The first night, there was a bit of a smell in the hall of marijuana, woke up early because of it but was taken care of the next night with no issue. Breakfast was solid but did have some stale toast and bagels seemed like a few days old but overall not bad. 4 out of 5 stars. They work with you to take care any issues that would arise. I recommend.

In for a concert. Very convenient to get to. Shuttle was offered but closed prior to concert ending. Buffet was very good. Loved the auto pancake maker. Would define recommend if visiting Cincy or Newport.

There was construction directly above our room until 7:00 pm. There was no relaxing with all of the pounding, etc. We were not informed of any renovations being done to the property prior to our arrival. The floors in our room were clearly not vacuumed (food and crumbs on floor) and the carpet tiles were coming up. Our socks were filthy after walking around for a short time. There were gross fingerprints all over the doors, microwave, and refrigerator. The top bed sheets on one bed had crusty, orange stuff on it and the under sheets of the other bed were stained significantly. We killed a couple bugs in the bathroom. The tub was stained and rusted and looked dirty in general. There was rarely any one at the front desk. When we went to check out, it took almost 20 minutes to get a reciept between waiting for someone to come to the desk and then getting someone who knew how to print a receipt. We had to ask for towels for the pool area. Overall, cleanliness is obviously not a priority here.

The room we stayed in had ZERO temperature regulation. When we arrived, the room was 56 degrees. That night we turned the heat on and woke up to it being over 80 degrees. My husband adjusted the temp and, again, we got under 60 degrees. We had zero sleep. We told the staff that morning. The lady said she would inform maintenance and her manager. We came back several hours later to a room over eighty degrees. Nothing had been done. Again, my husband visited the desk. A lady came to the room to mess with the thermostat and unit inside the room but couldn’t resolve it either. She wanted to check another room and would get back to us. We never heard from her again. The shower had hair and the cap to another person’s razor when we arrived. I would have overlooked this, but since I’m sharing the rest thought I’d include this too. Otherwise, staff was friendly. Breakfast was okay. We will absolutely not stay here again.

We weren’t aware the property was under construction. This made it difficult to find a quiet room as I prefer a high floor so o don’t hear people above me. I’m a very light sleeper and carry ear plugs and a white noise machine with me on all travels. While the manager and staff were very nice, the room was clean, and breakfast was pretty good, the first floor room was quite noisy. We could hear children running up and down the hall on the 2nd floor. The people above us weren’t extremely loud but the floor squeaked above us when they walked. We were in room 112. The indoor pool was nice and spacious but really cold, so we didn’t get to enjoy it as planned. Conveniently located to so much to do in Newport and a quick drive over to Cincinnati. Might stay here again on the 3rd floor when it’s done being renovated.

The room was very clean and the staff member Molly was awesome! The GM Avilyn Merryfield was very rude and very unhelpful! Her employee gave a discount to me because on their end it said somebody was in my room when I got there! When I checked out Avilyn wasn’t any help at all! Also, the loud noises at midnight interrupted my sleep due to the loud construction.

The staff were amazing and the breakfast was fresh. The bed was SO comfy along with the pillows. We stayed in a newly renovated room but it wasn't all good. The toilet ran the entire time. The fridge top was broken. The light was flashing on the phone and I couldn't get it to stop. It was just annoying at night, if you have light sensitivity when sleeping. Most importantly, I took a late afternoon shower (so not a common time to shower) and shivered through it on the hottest water setting. I didn't even wash my hair because I had so many goosebumps from it being almost cold. Somethings happen but the cold shower was hard for me to miss. The walls were super thin and we heard EVERYTHING. So, keep that in mind, as well. You can see light around the door seeping through. Which is where most of the sound pollution came from.
