I’ve been staying at the Travelodge in Cochrane for years for snowmobiling trips. Stayed several times in the old motel, then had two stays at the new motel in the back. This January 2026 was the third time I’ve stayed in the new building in the back and sadly it has gone downhill. We arrived to find the towel rack in our room, broken and hanging off the wall. It was reported, but no one ever came to fix it. We were there for four days. When housekeeping came on day two and three all they did was take the garbage and recycles. The beds were not made, nor were the towels, shampoo, or soaps replaced. Continental breakfast used to be fantastic! You would have a full hot breakfast: eggs, hashbrowns, and some kind of meat. Plus, bread, bagels, treats, and fruit. This year the only thing provided for hot breakfast was hashbrowns on day one, day two were these weird little egg bites, and day three were the same egg bites. Never any protein: Sausage, bacon. In the new build noise has always been an issue as well, you could hear everything! The room next-door, the hallways, and the parking lot. The noise used to be the only issue with the place, everything else was great. But it seems now after a few years, they’re struggling with maintaining the rooms, and while they say they offer continental breakfast it’s pretty sad. One great thing about this place though is the location. Right next-door to a gas station, Little Caesars, and A&W.
