Located in idyllic, historic Cold Spring Harbor - water views, fabulous sunsets. 5 min drive to private beach. Walk to historic village for top restaurants, shopping and a bit of history. Walk to park, enjoy live music, picnic, fishing or just relaxing. Access CSH Trailhead directly from backyard. Sip a glass wine and enjoy the beautiful sunsets from our expansive deck with fire pit. Master bedroom has fireplace and private deck overlooking the harbor. Life size 2 story playhouse for the kids. No car needed to enjoy this beautiful town.

Convenient to Huntington Village, Paramount Theatre, Whaling Museum, Fish Hatchery, Fire house Museum and much more.

Our stay at the Captain's Cottage was absolutely magical and the perfect experience for a holiday trip. The cottage itself was incredibly festive and cozy, and we were delighted by how beautifully decorated for the holiday season it was upon our arrival. It truly felt like a home away from home.The surrounding town of Cold Spring Harbor was just as lovely, living up to our expectations of a picture-perfect setting, much like a Christmas card. We enjoyed walking through the quaint shops and along the charming harbor.The hosts made the entire experience wonderful. They were fantastic—responsive, thoughtful, and accommodating, putting a lot of effort into ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We can't wait to return and highly recommend this absolute gem of a place to anyone visiting the area!

A charming clean and cozy home . Lovingly decorated . Well equipped kitchen for light meals . Fantastic location - walking distance to coffee shops deli and gift shops . In addition, the cottage borders a walking trail and had a view of the water . Close to Cold Spring Harbor train station . The hosts are responsive and thought.

Really enjoyed our stay for Parents Weekend with our Son on leave from the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Delightful location. didn't get to enjoy teh outside as much due to some rain, but wonderful outdoor facilities. Woudl definitly stay again.

Look No Further! Such and amazing find. The host was lovely to work with and the property stunning. A homey coastal cottage that offered something for everyone. Comfy beds, board games and puzzles, huge flat screen and TV and cozy blankets for cool mornings. If you have small children the play house in the backyard is a dream and the beach pass that is provided gives access to a great family beach for swimming or looking for shells. Super easy walk to town and a great restaurant, Harbor Mist, a block away. This place has it all!

The Captain’s Cottage was a perfect weekend getaway. The views were picturesque, the surrounding area and ambiance was quite peaceful, and the home itself was superbly clean, cozy and exquisite. The attention to detail was duly noted, as every room, and nook in the house offered something unique and special, inviting each guest into a feeling of warmth and coziness.

Nice place!

We have rented a number of places on VRBO and this is our favorite. It was charming, clean and spacious. We don't have small children but if we did this would be perfect with a game room downstairs and an outdoor playhouse. Would definitely return!

The captain cottage was exactly what Mom and I wanted! Beautiful views of the bay,super easy five minute walk to the main street of Cold Spring Harbor, adorable house with everything you need, and Kim was on top of it every time we neededhelp.
