I am not sure why this hotel receives such superlative ratings. It is serviceable, sure. But it's not cheap, the room smelled terribly of disinfectant, and the bed was mediocre, with pillows that felt pounded into submission by thousands of heads. I was not impressed.

Our stay at the Hampton Inn Long Island hotel was amazing. The staff from the front desk to the cleaning crew were helpful, nice, and attentive. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

The AC unit rattled. The maintenance team wasn’t able to fix it, so we wedged the comforter under it, and put a garbage pail on top. Disappointed that the unit didn’t have a continuous-on fan setting.
