The property was absolutely amazing. The house the pool the views the gazebo the private beach access was all amazing. The Host was very attentive. I would rent this house every year for the rest of my life if I could. We saw wild horses right on the property dolphins sea turtles. Driving on the beach to get to the house was also an amazing experience. I don't have a single negative thing to say about this house or the host except thank you.

Family Vacation

We had an incredible stay at this home! It was spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable. With a group of nine, there was more than enough room for everyone to spread out, enjoy their own space, and even have their own bathroom—which made things so easy.The host was fantastic—very responsive, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The location was just as impressive. We saw dolphins every single day and even had wild horses wander through the yard several times—such a unique and memorable experience.Access to the beach was quick and easy, and the pool was large, spotless, and perfect for relaxing. The house was stocked with everything we needed: plenty of towels and linens, a fully equipped kitchen, beach chairs, and even toys for the pool and beach.One thing to note: driving on the beach can be tricky if you’re not prepared. Make sure to air down your tires and do your research ahead of time. It’s definitely manageable, but knowing what to expect makes a big difference.We couldn’t have asked for more and would absolutely recommend this property to anyone. A perfect beach getaway!

The house is clean and beautiful. The owner was very responsive. And the beach and ocean is great. There are a lot of jeeps who camp out on the beach during the day, so although its the off-road part of the beach, the beach is populated with vehicles. We had AWD which means you should only travel at low-tide.

House, beach and hostess all wonderful! Walls of windows gave beautiful views of the beach and great light throughout. Six adults two kids(4 & 2) had room to roam indoors on a rainy day. Petra could not have been more responsive to our requests—even had extra towels delivered on a moment’s notice. House spotless on arrival and all amenities top shelf. Saw horses nearly every day. One caveat: synchronize your access and egress with low tide and count on a half hour beach drive each way.

Paradise on the Beach

Our family of 8 adults travelled to OBX and stayed at the beautiful Seashine. The house was spectacular, all the bedrooms having an en suite bath. The kitchen and dining area was large and we could all cook together easily. The views were inspiring both for sunrises, sunsets and the occasional horse sighting. The pool and beach access was right there and easily accessible. You really do need to plan and arrive at low tide because you are driving on the beach for about 10 miles. All in all it was a beautiful, relaxing time spent with family. Would 100% recommend our host and their fabulous house.

Wonderful Time In Carova Beach!

Love, love, love.

This property was an absolute dream. The house was gorgeous and had every amenity you could think of. The location and the view of the ocean was breathtaking. We saw dolphins and the horses came right up to the house on more than one occasion! Even the beach driving was a fun experience that I already miss. Perfect Beach Vacation Spot!

The location and house were perfect. The host was easy to work with and very responsive to all questions. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing week at the beach. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well-equipped, and there was plenty of deck seating for relaxing and eating. The reclining couches and chairs in the den were well-used during our nightly movie marathons. There is a lovely walkway with steps down to the beach, including a large gazebo and seating. My ten-year-old loved all the pool and beach toys that were available. There are tons of beach chairs and umbrellas for use as well. You cannot begin to imagine the expansive ocean views, daily dolphin sightings, or the occasional wild horses grazing in the yard (or taking a peek inside the downstairs window). This was our first time driving on a 4x4 beach. We came prepared for the worst-case scenario of getting stuck in the sand, but we did fine. It was quite an adventure, and my husband had a ball doing it. We saw so many wild horses up in the dunes or down at the water - too cool. It's a perfect beach vacation spot, and I highly recommend it.

Great property

This is a great property and we had an awesome time. The house is as advertised. Access to the beach was unique as other properties nearby didn't have this as easily. Seeing the horses was fun and unique. Driving on the beach was exciting the first time but it resulted in a need for planning as trips into town took 45 minutes (one way) - you need 4x4 drive. If you're not adventurous you would not want to stay at this property.

Stunning Location

Carova Beach Vacation

Our stay at The Seashine in Carova Beach was much much better than expected! This is a lovely home in a beautiful and secluded area of the Outer Banks. We saw the wild Spanish Mustangs every day of our visit which is an amazing experience. We also saw dolphins and the shelling was outstanding. The Seashine was incredibly clean and inviting, and Petra was so attentive to any question. We are already looking forward to another visit in the future! Stunning home!

Absolutely gorgeous home on the ocean! This home was perfect for a family gathering for my dad's 85th birthday. On the cold rainy day no one minded being "stuck" inside b/c the house is so large and open with huge windows looking right over the ocean. My dad had a blast driving the 10 miles in on the sand-a lifetime first!

Great Getaway!

Lovely home on the oceanfront with a great layout. Wonderful windows all along the east and west sides provide great views of the beach and morning sunrises and evening sunsets. The wild horses walk right along the beach in front of the house. Enjoyed the amenities and features of the home. The nooks were perfect for reading or playing games. It's a wonderful spot on the 4 x4!
