This was such a lovely location. We came here for our anniversary. There was a free Coronado shuttle that we took to and from the beach as well as to restaurants. The breakfast bistro next door was delicious.

Great property, beach cruisers and chairs are available with no fee. It was a quick ride(or 20 minute walk) to the beach and walkable to the ferry too. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Great Stay!

We had a great stay at the Crown City Inn. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but based on the excellent reviews, I was optimistic. Our room was on the first floor, and I was concerned about noise from the second floor, but there was none. The room was clean and updated, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. There was plenty of room for two of us and our luggage. It was convenient to have a refrigerator and microwave. The reception area was welcoming with fresh iced tea, cookies, and filtered water. The receptionist who checked us in was very friendly. The pool area was comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting out there in the late afternoon. Loved that there were bikes for us to use, and we rode them out to the beach one day to explore and watch the sunset. Parking was usually full in the main area, but we had no problem parking in the designated spots in the alley immediately behind the property. It was also an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Everything felt very safe, and we would definitely return.

A Hidden Gem!!

A 10 out of 10!! We absolutely loved this place. It was our 40th anniversary and the staff placed a welcome gift in our room. The room was clean, bright and all in good working order. You can't beat the location. It's in walking distance to the ferry landing and the beach. Lots of places to eat, drink and shop nearby. We never used our car once we parked. They have bikes, beach chairs, and umbrellas for the guests to use. We will definitely stay here again.

Loved our stay at Crown City Inn. Lovely room, we opted for room with jacuzzi tub (big tub). Room had super high ceiling. Bright, clean and fresh. We really appreciated the all day tea, water and coffee. The daily cookies were delicious and very thoughtful. A wonderful perk also was the loan out of bicycles, beach chairs and boogie boards. Would definitely stay here again. Grocery store nearby and walk to restaurants.

Perfect Location in Coronado

This is such a great place to stay in Coronado. Walking distance to everything and bicycles available to borrow. Easy to catch the ferry to San Diego and catch a Padres game or tour the USS Midway.

It's a great location and very good property. You're on the main drag on Coronado - about 1/2 mile from the Del and 1/2 mile from the frontage that overlooks the San Diego skyline. The rooms are somewhat small, but not overly. Everything works well. Staff is good. Cookies in the afternoon! Free bikes to use! Loved biking the island. VERY walkable area. Off the main drag and you're into all residential areas. Quiet, nice. Enjoy.

I was pleasantly surprised by this property! It’s wholly welcoming with practical amenities. We came relatively unprepared to spend time at the beach, but was really grateful to be able to borrow beach chairs and umbrellas. Also jumped on the cruiser bike to explore the island. Facility is clean, reasonably priced, and warm. 100% will be back!

We love this motel! We stay here whenever we go to San Diego. I like how the rooms were remodeled. It's convenient having the restaurant as part of the motel even though it's a bit expensive. It would be nice if there was a free continental breakfast in the lobby. Muffins, bagels, fruit--something simple for those of us on the go. It's nice they already have coffee in the lobby and the water machine to refill our water containers with cold water rather than using plastic bottles. There's parking on the street which feels safe. It's a magical little town. Lots of happy memories of staying there.
