Fishing Pier Goose Island State Park

About 15–20 minutes north of Rockport.
One of the area’s most productive public piers.
Great for redfish, drum, trout, and seasonal flounder.
Bonus: Beautiful park and the famous Big Tree nearby.

Aransas Bay

Best overall inshore fishery.
Wade fishing, kayak fishing, or by boat.
Grass flats and oyster reefs consistently produce trout and redfish.

Copano Bay

Excellent for black drum and redfish.
More protected from wind than many other bays.
Great for kayaking or launching a small boat.

Estes Flats

One of the premier shallow-water redfish destinations on the Texas coast.

Pet Policy:

Pets must be approved before booking. While we offer pet-friendly accommodations, approval is not guaranteed and is granted at the sole discretion of management based on factors including the pet's breed, age, weight, and other relevant considerations. Bringing a pet without prior written approval will result in an automatic $150 unauthorized penalty, plus an additional pet fee if approved. If the pet is not approved, the reservation will not be permitted to proceed, and no refund will be provided. If approved after arrival, the unauthorized pet fee still applies in addition to the applicable pet fee.
