Loved the proximity of the beach. Literally right next to Blackbeard’s. Free parking. Texas-shaped waffles for breakfast.
The only real problem I had was there was about two seconds of hot water when I showered the first night, and after talking with staff about it the next day, they said they’d address it and if it happened again, they could switch me to a different room. She was very nice and polite. There were no water temperature issues the next day.
The floor in the room had some sand, but it didn’t bother me too much because of the price point and closeness to the beach. Also, the coffee maker still had a coffee pod in it, but these things aren’t enough to turn me away.
It’s not a 5-star hotel, but it was quiet and close to food and the beach, which is exactly what I wanted. I’d stay here again.
