Our room was good, matress terribly hard, took 2 days to figure out how to stop showerhead from leaking. Hot water went out for 2 days, which 1/2 the guest left , the cold water wasnt really that cold so we toughed it out.2 main elevators were broke, 1 was fixed the other was out the rest of our week. Place not crowded so again bearable.could never get reservations at the dining room, very weird. Had to eat buffet every day which was so so at best.plan on trips to town to eat.if you are a picky person on a budget, you should avoid this place! Staff was great but not sure the building infrastructure will last another year.

The beach was awesome! It would be better if there were more palapas! You have to get up at 4am to save one! Would suggest taking down a couple of hammock stands and putting up more palapas there. The dining room booking system is terrible in that the only the guests that want to get up and stand in line get to go every evening! The waiter, dining and chef staff are fantastic! Our room was nice but some updates would be nice. the lighting in the bathroom is very poor, the bedsheet was not the right size for the king bed, drawers are sticky. The stairs and floors going down to the lobby were dirty, blood on the tile floor was finally cleaned just before we left so need to be done more frequently. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for people who like smaller 3 star resorts!

Pro: The staff were very helpful. Food was genuinely good, especially the baked goods (dinner rolls and cookies, tasted homemade). Cons: I understand the hotel is older but it is very run down. The outlets sparked when plugging something in and the furniture was coming apart. Also the A/C was really loud. There were definitely not enough palapas out on the beach, for approximately 300 guests 16 isn’t going to work. Having to wake up early (between 2 am-4 am) to get one. Very noisy all through the night, if not for the guests playing loud music in their rooms until 4:30 am, people slamming their doors. Our first night, someone opened our door when we were getting ready to go to sleep. Overall it was a good trip, but we may have to reconsider our next trip.

Staff were fantastic in helping us understand how things worked. Down side, is the pool and beach chairs were always being reserved so it was difficult to ever get a good seat. People would go out as early as 4am to reserve a chair on the beach. Many would not be used until later in the day and sit empty. While the rest of the hotel users would enjoy accessing these unused chairs. Very frustrating.

When we got there our room wasn’t ready. Finally got in and sink was torn apart. Shower area was disgustingly gross. Went and asked for another room. Put us on 7th floor. Which cost additional money. Then no hot water for 4 days. Same food in the buffet every day. Ran out of light beer on 2nd day. Had to either drink lager or hard liquor. We went to local store and bought our own. So did a lot of other people. Was not impressed and won’t be going back.

We have stayed here 3 times and we love it! It can certainly use some TLC on the plumbing, but the rest is great. I thought the food has improved since the last time we were here. The staff is so friendly! This is a nice, quiet resort. Nothing extravagant, but definitely worth the money.
