While the house had lots of positive attributes, a few things should be mentioned. House was listed as secure for pets. On arrival there was a portion of the fence that was broken and open to a neighbors yard. Apple tree had dropped lots of fruit on the ground. We adked the host about the fence and the response was "sorry....". Property also advertised a patio and bbq. This was not really true. A concrete slab and a bbq in a dark no night garage was there. Fireplace heater did not work. The rooms and bathroom was adequate and location was very nice. All and all we had a nice stay. But those issues can't be ignored.

Clean house. Laundry was easy to use and convenient. The master bed was very comfortable. The back yard isnt fully fenced. No light in the garage making it hard to see to get to the backyard access door.Location was great and a quiet neighborhood.

The house was absolutely gorgeous! The proximity to the beach was also a big plus. It's very close to the Redwoods National Park made this a great stay as well. Overall an amazing place and a very homey environment. If we get the chance we would stay again!

Clean home in a lovely, quiet neighborhood!It's nothing fancy, but it's situated well for forest activities and the beds are very comfortable. The back yard is HUGE and a great place to hang out, which is nice since Crescent City doesn't have a lot to offer after dark. Perfect for a quiet getaway!

We really enjoyed staying at this cottage. It was within walking distance of the beach and our friends rental on Pebble Beach Lane. My only recommendation would be that the owner get screens for the front windows and bedroom window. Otherwise very happy with our stay. Owner was very responsive to my emails about the internet and TV.

Excellent location and the owner was great to work with. We accidentally locked ourselves out one day and messaged her and she immediately responded and took care of us. Also, location is an easy walk to the ocean, or the brewery (which has surprisingly good food) and is the perfect launching point to see the Redwoods!

Property was comfortable and close to the water/red wood national forest etc. We had an issue with ants and this made it difficult to the relax. I don’t think this is a normal occurrence but did keep us from cooking at the home.

The Coastal Cottage was perfect for our stay. The cottage is set up with everything you need for a stay, it felt like home. The short walk down to the end of the street leads to a pretty beach. The host was very responsive and nice. The neighborhood is great as well.

Let me begin by saying crescent city is a dive of a town. So with that said, this property was decent. What I liked it is seemed clean inside although old and the beds were very comfortable. We all had a good night’s rest which is what was needed after our long drive down the coast for our party of 5, one person being 83 years old. The owner was kind and responsive. Checkout was at 11am and at 11am there was someone there waiting outside for us to leave which felt strange. No grace time. But it’s not my home so I understand. The home needs quite a bit of repairs including a heater that works. The portable heater does not work. But what was important to us is that we slept well and there was what appeared to be a new washer and dryer near the garage so that helped after a week of traveling down the coast. There was refilled water bottles in the fridge - that seemed strange instead of just new bottles. And we were able to park our expensive Denali in the garage but there is no lock on the garage door and crime appears to be high in the area if you google it It definitely fulfilled our need but I would never suggest staying in crescent city to ANYONE. Very run down town for being a coastal town. Such a shame

The place was great and in a quiet area close to the tide pools, park, brewery (and food), and lighthouse. We were able to walk everywhere in short time. The host was responsive and helpful and the house felt like a home

Pros: Amazing location a block from the beach, easy access to redwoods, comfy queen bed, new washer/dryer, great view from one nice couch, roomy, fruit trees in backCons: Many of the furnishings are very worn (one couch and the futon too lumpy to use, curtains in shreds, missing drawer pulls, etc.), fridge & dishwasher need updating.The house just needs some TLC. Also, host doesn't provide much info.

Close to beach and lighthouse

We loved the location. Close to the beach and lighthouse. Lots of critters in the tide pools. Plenty of wind and a little sun. We saw some Redwoods about 10 minutes away. Home was in great shape. A few little repairs needed here and there, but nothing that affects the functionality of the place. Loved having a home base so close to the action.

Perfect house and location

The house was clean and welcoming. It had everything we needed and more. We loved the location- we could see the ocean from the living room and the beach is only a block away. It was also a great central location for visiting redwoods, tide-pooling, and visiting Oregon state parks.
