Chalet Nine - The Art House is the ideal home to come vacation in while enjoying all of the amenities of a luxury modern home and a unique collaboration with Oh Be Joyful Gallery - located in downtown historic Crested Butte. The home is just two blocks away from historic downtown Crested Butte, close to the best restaurants and shops, as well as great hiking and biking trails right out your door, this home has been designed for the discerning traveler. The owners have collaborated with Oh Be Joyful Gallery to present to you for purchasing -- or simply enjoying -- original artwork by some of the country’s best working artists during your stay. We will provide you with information for each piece of art once you book your stay. The art collection will rotate and be ever changing, or you can pay a visit to Oh Be Joyful Gallery to find a small memento from your trip to Colorado, or a centerpiece for your collection.

Further, Chalet Nine - The Art House was completely refinished and remodeled as of September 2020 and is appointed with all of the indulgences found in a mod home...spacious storage, steam shower, hot tub, high speed wifi, in-floor bathroom heating, multiple gas fireplaces, and gorgeous mountain views, including Mt Crested Butte. Tucked into a quiet corner of the upper west side, Chalet Nine is raising the bar for Crested Butte vacation homes. Convenient and yet, oh so quiet!

The main level master suite features a beautiful deep tub, heated bathroom floor, and fully glassed-in steam shower, along with a king size bed, cozy fireplace and flat screen TV.

Continuing through the home, guests will marvel at the kitchen, which features a contemporary six-burner gas stove and is fully equipped with a coffee maker (drip and Keurig), blender, crockpot, built-in microwave oven and electric stove, refrigerator, gas oven, toaster, pellet ice maker, and dishwasher. A large five-seat island with a beautiful marble countertop makes for a great gathering spot in the center of the room. The dining room is adjacent to the kitchen, complete with a large wood dining room table with seating for 8+. There is a powder room located on this level as well.

The dining room, kitchen and living area all open up to a triple-paned moving glass wall that you can open partially or completely to the spacious deck with gorgeous mountain views, which doubles the size of your living area. The deck is complete with a dining table for 8+, seating, and a gas grill.

The living room features a spacious sectional couch for everyone to snuggle in front of the large gas fireplace. A flat screen SmartTV provides guests with a variety of entertainment options. For your safety, there are security camera at the front and back door.

Upstairs, guests will relax in a king bed and a full and twin bed tucked under the eaves…. perfect for a small family, and the kids will love it! Complete with an en-suite bathroom with shower and heated floors, and also an office space with an electric sitting or standing desk and printer. There is high-speed internet throughout the house.

The lower level features a bedroom, a bunk room, a living area, 2 bathrooms with heated floors, a beverage area for hot and cold beverages, as well as access to the outdoor hot tub and spacious backyard. Complete with a spacious laundry room with full-sized washer and dryer, iron and ironing board.

The downstairs master has a king bed, an en-suite bathroom with a large shower, and private access to the outdoor hot tub, making it super convenient to pop in for a quick soak.

There are 2 sets of bunk beds that are perfect for large families or two families traveling together. Each bed is equipped with a charging station and reading light.

The downstairs media room is adjacent to the bunk beds and has a comfortable sectional sofa and a big screen TV with Roku.

The owners have made available their own bikes — 2 adult and 1 child's — to enjoy a quick ride around town. There are head-in parking spaces in the front for at least 3 vehicles, and 1 parking space in the back at the alley way. The bus stop is also within walking distance. Arrive, park your cars and leave ‘em. No need to move cars during the summer or winter months.

True gem in CB! Everything was absolutely perfect in this just remodeled home: from local artwork, custom furnishings and bedding throughout, indoor fireplaces, and dream kitchen with commerical appliances are just a few of the amenities everyone in our party LOVED during our stay. Exceptional Home

It was our first time visiting Crested Butte and absolutely fell in love with the town and 9 Gothic rental property. The home is beautifully updated with an amazing open floor plan and deck. Every night we enjoyed the cool evenings on the back deck surrounding the gas fire table. The home has three floors so our family was able to spread out and enjoy some privacy. There is a downstairs smaller den that leads to the hot tub which our older kids enjoyed. Everything was very clean and we appreciated the attention to detail. The house is in walking distance to Elk Street so we walked to dinner every night. We have traveled extensively and this is definitely one if my favorite homes that we have rented. We cannot wait to return and stay here again.

Pretty house but BEWARE; Horrific Property Managment; Many electrical and safety issues

This was the WORST managed property we have ever stayed at with MANY electrical issues and safety hazards. The female Prop Mgr was dismissive, condesending and unresponsive. The many unresolved safety issues, waste of our time and stress was unacceptable. We are apalled at how we were treated and just received an INVOICE for issues that were there PRIOR to our arrival that we will not be paying. 1. NO HEAT - Upon check in at 4:00, we were told that the heat wasn't working in the downstairs bedroom and a space heater was brought in. 2. SHOWER GLASS SHATTERS UPON OPENING - GUEST CUT - At 4:57, we called prop mgr reporting that our son's very petite 30 year old girlfriend opened the shower door to put her shampoo inside and it shattered, slicing her hand in many places. Glass was all over her, the bathroom/ bedroom, she was terrified and bleeding. After an hour, we had to reach out again. Finally two hours later, Prop mgr co #2 arrived. 3. NO SHOWER USE, NO ELECTRICITY - Prop mgr #2 was at the house for THREE HOURS cleaning and we missed our family dinner in town. He then told us that NOW NONE OF THE OUTLETS WORKED. He also told us that he had just TIGHTENED THE METAL HANDLE on the glass door that had just shattered (where there had been no heat and then warmed quickly with a small space heater). When we finally talked to prop mgr #1, we were extremely upset and she said so sorry but she was at a concert and "what did we want her to do? She then emailed me that we needed to file an insurance claim. 4. Day Two - NO HEAT, NO ELECTRICITY, NO LIGHTS - The next day, prop mgr #2 comes again to put in shower curtain and rod to make shower useable. He is there for two hours loking at electrical issues. My husband stays home to monitor and misses skiing while I attempt to communicate with Prop Mgr #1. We are told an electrician can't come until after we depart. Extension cords are used for space heater and flashlights had to be used. 5. NO COMMUNICATION - I messagel PR Mgr AGAIN about electrical issues and she says she is "surprised" to hear? She then suggests she can look to re-home us but I have already called VRBO - this is not feasible due to lack of open inventory. I then send follow up email detailing every issue so she is not "surprised" and ask for resolution as one night compensation is not satisfactory. NO RESPONSE. We own multiple properties ourselves (one in Crested Butte). This is certainly not how to treat guests.

Top quality finishes, spacious rooms and great location

This property has top level appliances and fixtures. There was no fighting over the three sleeping areas as each was spacious. Communication with the host was prompt and efficient. The location is great with easy access to town and trails. The only negative is there was a lot of dog poop in the backyard which may be from the tiny dogs next door which are small enough to get around most fencing. We would definitely rent this property again.

Magnificently Decorated Home

The design and amenities fit our family of 10(4 children) perfectly. Best home we have ever rented. Only thing that was missing were directions on how to set temperature, start hot tub and charcoal burner on the porch. The front door lock is broken and was unlocked when we arrived. A knob in the upstairs bathroom was broken when we arrived. Appreciated that the kitchen was stocked with loads of food and utensils Thank you for thinking of so many things to make us comfortable

7 of us traveled from back East to CB for the first time. Chalet 9 was the ideal home for us. Modern, clean and spacious. Close to town and right next to a hiking trail and park. We will come again next year bc of this house and everything the town and mountains have to offer.

Crested Butte Beauty

This house is a 5 star modern mountain gem. It is beautifully decorated and maintained. There are 3 nicely appointed king bedrooms with en suite bathrooms on 3 different levels, so plenty of privacy. The light filled main room and kitchen have lovely outdoor views. The back deck is perfect for hanging out or having a meal. You can easily walk to town or hiking trails. We loved everything about this home and you will too!

Beautiful Home

We had such a great time on this trip. The house is beautiful, clean, and well stocked with supplies. The back porch with fire table was such a nice bonus. We had more than enough space for four adults and five children. Easily could have had more people. The kids loved the hot tub and bunk room. Location was perfect, just two blocks off the Main Street. Highly recommend this house and would come back again.

AMAZING!

This is the second year we have stayed at this house to go skiing! We love it! The house is incredible with lots of beds for our large family! The location is great and it is close to town with lots of yummy restaurants. I highly recommend it!

Best Rental House I've Ever Stayed In

This house is every bit as advertised and more. Very thoughtfully designed. Most rental properties are a little worse than what you see in the pictures but not this house. We had 3 kids and 5 adults with us and couldn't have asked for a better house. The hosts were incredibly responsive throughout check in/check out and throughout our stay if we had any questions. The place was well stocked with towels, sheets, kitchen gear, snow gear, etc. We also got DUMPED on with 2+ ft of snow during our stay and they made sure people came by to help dig us out each day to make the short walk to Elk. Loved my stay and bummed we had to leave. Though we were there in December, the house looks like it would be AWESOME in the summer too. Thanks for having us.
