## Emplacement
Cuxac-d'Aude is a French commune located in the north-east of the Aude department in the Occitanie region. Historically and culturally, the commune is part of the Narbonnais, a region including Narbonne and its periphery, the Clape massif and the lagoon strip of ponds. Exposed to a Mediterranean climate, it is drained by the Aude, the Audié stream. The commune has a remarkable natural heritage: two Natura 2000 sites (the "lower course of the Aude" and the "Capestang pond") and three natural areas of ecological, faunistic and floristic interest.
