Nestled on 1.5 acres of trees and a creek lined property. This retreat is a peaceful get away with wineries, tubing, kayaks, canoes and ATV rides all just minutes away. Perfect for groups of all kinds. Birthdays, bachelor/ bachelorette gatherings, family reunions, corporate retreats, and an overall great place to experience all aspects of Dahlonega, Georgia.

It was spotless, beautifully maintained, and stocked with everything we could possibly need. You can tell the owners truly care about creating a memorable experience for their guests.The setting is what truly makes this place magical. Tucked into the peaceful woods, it feels private and serene, yet it’s just a short drive into downtown Dahlonega. We loved being able to explore the shops, restaurants, and local wineries during the day, then return to the quiet comfort of the cabin in the evening. Sitting outside with coffee in the morning and listening to the sounds of nature was one of our favorite parts of the trip.Every detail inside the cabin made it feel cozy and relaxing — comfortable beds, inviting living spaces, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you instantly unwind. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a family trip, or just a reset from busy life, this cabin delivers.Communication with the host was seamless, and everything about the booking and check-in process was smooth and easy through VRBO.We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already talking about when we can return.

It was a wonderful family Christmas! We couldn’t use the fireplace stove it wasn’t working but enjoyed the outdoor fire pits.The creek in the property was an added bonus for our grandkids who mined for gold! We will definitely be back!

The Gold mine cabin is located in a quiet secluded area. If you or your party have any disabilities the steps getting in and out of the cabin can be difficult. The area to park more than one vehicle is not level. The pictures shown in the search for the property make the inside of the cabin look larger than it is. The black and white bedroom is very tight. The red and white room is larger and we were able to put the babies play pen at the foot of the bed and still have room to walk around the room. There are closets in the two bedrooms with plenty of room to hang your clothes. The loft upstairs only has pipes attached to the wall to hang clothes. The bedrooms on the first floor have no chest of drawers to take clothes out of your suitcases, so you will have to live out of your suitcase during your stay.The temperature during our stay was freezing and the heater kept the cabin warm and comfortable. There was plenty of hot water during our stay and with four adults we never ran out of hot water. The kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms were all clean. The outdoor deck area was unkept with bottle caps and a cooler left behind. I haven’t contacted the host but there is a slight leak in the roof by the skylight over the kitchen island. The internet was reliable and it worked very well. As you walk into the cabin be careful because the floor is uneven. From the hallway it slopes down towards the kitchen island. Well, we had a great time during our stay at the Gold Mine Cabin.

The cabin was exactly like the pictures on VRBO. The cabin amd the grounds were beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked with all supplies, as were the bathrooms. Crystal, the owner, was very friendly and stayed in touch to be sure our needs were met. We loved this secluded cabin. We had our privacy and it was still close to all the sight seeing opportunities of Dahlonega. We'd stay again if we get a chance to return. Thank you, Crystal

We stayed here for a week and it was the perfect getaway for our elopement week! The home is just as advertised and the location is incredible. Plenty of privacy, but close to the historic downtown area, various hiking trailheads, and lots of other fun activities and towns. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Dahlonega!

Perfect Stay

Our family of 5 loved this beautiful cabin. It’s even better than the pictures online. We loved the cabin decor and it has everything you need. The stream in the back was so peaceful. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with plenty of deer. The drive into town is short distance away with plenty of great restaurants. It was the perfect central location for our travels to Ellijay, Helen, Anna Ruby Falls and Amicalola Falls. We would definitely recommend this cabin and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

My 3 sisters and I had such a wonderful time staying at Gold Mine Cabin. We stayed 3 nights and got some great shopping in. The house is decorated beautifully, and the beds are very comfortable. Crystal is a wonderful host and answers your calls immediately. We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again in the near future.

Cozy Hideaway

We were in town for a wedding. The location was perfect and the house was the perfect location to feel like you got away, but also close to everything. My kids loved the twin beds and playing outside. The power went out Friday unexpectedly and owner answered call and quickly offered to do what she could to help, even though it was out of her control. Thankfully it came back on quickly. Would stay again

Relaxing cabin yet close to town

The cabin was clean and as described. There was plenty of parking and it was easy to find. Just a few miles from everything. The lights/fans were labeled which was a plus! We drove our truck with a trailer that held our bikes and had no issues parking. Quiet neighborhood and the stream beside the cabin was so relaxing. relaxing.
