This boutique hotel is stunning on the inside. Booking and check-in were seamless. While nearly everything is done digitally, there was a person available at the desk that greeted us on arrival, but otherwise it was nice to show up and go right to our room. Definitely at beautiful midst art deco vibe. The use of space is practically remarkable, especially inside the bathroom which is so compact; most of the space for the ample shower. Here’s the rub…with the exception of the Madison, this is a residential neighborhood and the house to the right and everything behind it is rough (and that is generous). It faces the field of an elementary school, which I assume makes weekends easy for parking, but getting around during the week might be a challenge. If you are staying on the backside of the hotel, might as well not open the curtains. Bring your own coffee pods unless Folgers and Coffemate creamer are your morning jam (seriously?!) The coffee machine is not great, but it gets the job done. Also, real coffee cups would be a super nice touch. The walls are hotel thin. We were in room 20 at the end of the hall, next to the back entry door and it was a bit loud. The folks in room 19 were festive, but it was mid-evening, so I’ll keep this complaint light and if you keep the pocket door to the bathroom closed, that helps. Get the double queen room, even if you don’t need the extra bed. The extra space will make a difference. A short jaunt to Bishop St and you are made.

Very unique hotel, room was lovely! It is a bit of an odd location - just randomly in the middle of an old residential neighborhood. Chickens and stray cats made frequent visits outside, but I saw it as added charm.

Staff was extremely courteous and responsive. Upon arrival we were met with a genuine greeting which was consistent throughout our stay. Room was small but clean and well decorated, reasonably priced. They even have a happy hour from 6-8pm!! Convenient walk to plenty of bars and restaurants. Props to this new(ish) hotel for creating a welcoming, comfortable environment. 10/10 would stay here again.

If you are going to allow smoking in the rooms you need to make sure it does not leak to the next room. I woke at midnight from the smoke coming from the bathroom. Maybe the exhaust fans need to be sealed. I liked your place but the smoking is not acceptable.

Room decor was what drew us to the hotel, beautiful items well presented. Reception lady very attentive and informative. Sadly coffee machine was mouldy, and walls paper thin - we could hear everything - corridor conversations, coughing, and a couples late night activities, sadly because we are travelling across America this did spoil the experience as we are driving early every morning (call us boring).
