Love the decor, tile design in bathroom, plush towels; however, cons outweigh the pros. Room was very tiny, no fridge or micro as stated, no balcony as stated- it was a walkway to all the other rooms on the second floor. No maintenance person available when I had a problem at midnight with a toilet.

This place is beautiful. It’s clean, nicely appointed and extremely reasonably priced. The only negative would be the size of the room. But if you don’t need a lot of space I would stay here!

Tough place to review. Tiny bungalows with ocean view and recently went through major renovations. Workmanship excellent; but room is very small and not furnished or designed correctly. No closet (couple of hooks behind bathroom door with 4 hangars; no bureau or chest (drawers as part of headboard on the floor). No table or chairs. Only place to sit is bed (or toilet). Big four poster king bed floating in the middle of the room. Stayed one night of four. Very polite when we checked out early and refunded payment. Mattress very comfortable. Vessel sink in bathroom with 3” of counter on each side. Submarine size shower. May be good for single or people who have no luggage. Also no elevator and train runs directly in front of the property (but we knew those things). Beautiful, but non-functional. Wish I could have rated higher

The hotel is cute & the staff were very friendly, however the hotel pictures and amenities are misleading. The room was extremely small, the balcony was shared with other guests, there was no refrigerator or microwave in room. Definitely not what I was expecting for the amount paid. Another inconvenience was the shades were broken and since the balcony is shared, others walk in the area so we literally had to go into the bathroom to change clothes. No privacy at all. There’s a train that runs along the coast across the street from the hotel that I wasn’t aware of. It’s not a big deal but if you’re a light sleeper it will definitely wake you a few times. Last thing, we picked up snacks from the room for our car ride home (these are $8-$10 ) each and realized both were expired by over a month. Small things but overall I would expect better from somewhere as expensive as this place is. I didn’t complain because I didn’t want to ruin my husband’s birthday but definitely not staying here again.

My husband and I stayed here for valentines weekend and it was lovely! Our only issue we had was that the floors of our room seemed to be very dirty and could’ve been cleaned better prior to us arriving. Other than that it was beautiful and staff was very helpful!

It's right on PCH, loud and not on the beach side forcing you to cross the road and train tracks to go to the beach. The rooms are beautifully appointed but not much storage space available. The only restaurant and parking lot access is great. The room rates are very good and reasonably priced, I will definitely come back but just be aware the experience is limited and similar to a great very fancy Motel on steroids:)

Love this beautifully recently restored Spanish hotel. Perfect to celebrate our anniversary. For those like myself that appreciate historic details and beautiful antiques, you will not be disappointed. Ocean views from every window in the suite and the fireplace adds ambience and warms up the room. Bathroom is small but nice. It’s right on PCH but not too noisy. Grounds are lovely with fire pits and a large fountain. No pool but nice that they have lounge chairs on the lawn to look at the ocean. Beautiful bar/check-in lounge area. Overall a nice romantic hotel. Looking forward to our next visit.
