Long Uncomfortable Stay
Checking into the property was a breeze. We were given a code quickly to get in and were allowed in an hour early at no charge. Upon arriving at the residence is when the problems began. Walking into the backyard and walking down the stairs, there was dirt, spider webs, and wasps. Once we entered the downstairs unit it appeared clean. This is when the problems began. We went to use the dishes/silverware and they were filthy in the cabinets and drawers. (Found out later that the dishwasher did not clean, in fact it made dishes dirtier, so we washed everything during our 9 day stay by hands). We had to wash all the dishes and silverware by hand before using. Our feet and socks were BLACK on the bottom of them after walking on the tile floor. No mops were available so my husband had to use our beach towel and dish soap to wash BY HAND the floor as they were filthy. Went to make coffee, and the coffee machine did not work. We were hot and went to find the thermostat, that was LISTED IN THE HALLWAY, only to find out it is IN THE UPPER UNIT and you had NO control over your temperature in your home. Went to look for the fans that were listed to be in the home, there were no fans. No ceiling fans either, so there was NO WAY to move the air in the downstairs when it was hot. We had to BUY two fans to keep the area livable. We killed multiple spiders EVERY DAY, in all the rooms and the bathroom.
