I had bad luck. As soon as I arrived at my accommodation in the morning, I left my suitcase in the hostel hall because the course I had to attend was about to start, and I couldn’t check in until 4:00 PM. My course started at 2:00 PM and lasted until 7:30 PM, and supposedly I was allowed to check in until 10:00 PM.
While getting ready to return to the hostel, I accidentally forgot a case full of materials in the hall, and it never showed up. Obviously, I can’t hold the hostel responsible for that, as it was my own fault. However, I can hold the hostel responsible for the way they treated me afterwards.
When I arrived at 9:30 PM after the course, the security guard even scolded me for not having a key card to enter the hostel (which makes sense—I hadn’t checked in yet), but he treated me very poorly. When I tried to ask if anyone had found my personal belongings, he started yelling at me, saying he was security and that I shouldn’t talk to him about those matters. When I arrived in my room, the bedsheet had black specks, which made me feel the room was unhygienic. I tried to inform the security guard again, but he yelled at me once more.
I had to buy insecticide from a supermarket, clean and spray the bed and wardrobe myself, and sleep in my emergency sleeping bag liner.
It was a very unpleasant experience. Despite receiving messages from you asking for my room number, I never got a reply to my messages or to the report I made about my lost items.
I will not recommend you
