This hotel is a complete disappointment and does not meet expectations at all. The building looks like an old, run-down house. At reception, three employees seemed overwhelmed and unprofessional. I arrived at 14:40 and wasn’t allowed to check in until 15:00. In the meantime, I had a club sandwich with fries for €15. Which was okay. The room is furnished with outdated, worn, and cheap furniture. The so-called wellness area is a joke – it looks like a school swimming pool. The sauna and Turkish bath are extremely basic, the area is not clean, and the plastic loungers are impossible to relax on. Even the shower didn’t get properly warm. Charging CHF 170 per night for this is outrageous.

Great stay. Great hotel

Despite having reservations about hotels.com from seeing some not so great reviews. The hotel did receive our booking and all was okay. Just call up the hotel before hand to see if they have received the booking before you go. The hotel was a great find. Only 30 minutes to airport and 30 minutes into Dublin. Lovely facilities and nice and clean. Expensive breakfast though which was nice but nothing special.

Dirty bed

Awful hotel. Never a 4* star in a million years. The bed sheets were dirty and when they came to change them there was a big hole in the mattress. The mattress springs were also pushing through the bed. The one thing you want when staying in a hotel is cleanliness and a comfortable bed but they weren’t able to provide that. Very disappointing and won’t be returning.

Did not like room 3132. It smelled musty, dampy n the carpet looked dirty. The sheer curtains had two long rips that looked horrible! Definitely not a 4-stars hotel by this room! Moved us to room 1104 which was cleaner n without the musty smell but the table fan was dusty n the small fridge not working. Did not like the service at The Croft Restaurant- the waitress was rude, sulky looking n lacking social skills, not checking on us, not clearing the plates n waited over 45 minutes for the bill! The worst thing was finding a candy wrapper in my salad during lunch next day! The Food Manager apologized n took it off our bill. Lots of other services n maintenance problems with this hotel n certainly not a 4-stars hotel by our experience! The pool n hot tub were nice but the shower stalls in the pool area were not working. The gym has lots of machines that were rusty but having the cleaning spray n towels handy was helpful. I appreciate some of the staff who did gave us good service n others who listened n tried to help out with my concerns, I certainly would expect nothing less especially from a 4-stars hotel, as they claim to be. I don’t think we’ll be back!
