Great staff from reception, cleaners and restaurant. We had high tea and selection was tip top. We stayed in a twin bedroom, one queen and two singles. Really needed a quiet stay and I wasn’t disappointed.

Incredible hotel. We stayed in a two bedroom studio that was so spacious. Everything was brand new and comfortable. Very quiet. Free parking too.

The hotel was really nice. It set in the historical part of Dunedin. However, what was missing was the connection of Māori people who there before. It was overly colonial. I wish I was able experience more of Māori connection to Dunedin and Otago. I think hotel owners missed that opportunity. Nonetheless, it It has all amenities such as a washer and dryer in the room. That was very useful especially when if you are travelling to another destination after Otago.

I LOVED this hotel and wish I could have stayed longer. I would definitely stay again. I was in an executive suite, which was very spacious. PROs: HUGE bathtub, washer-dryer in the room with soap packets, easy to hook laptop up to giant TV using an HDMI cable (they loaned me one), the heat/AC is very quiet, soundproofing is excellent, food is excellent, lots of drawers, 2 narrow closets, kettle and milk for tea (also a nepresso), comfortable bed, nice robes and slippers, great water pressure, both wand and rainshower heads in shower CONs: It feels a bit rude to complain about anything, but... the curtains are reversed -- sheers on the room side and blackout curtains on the window side which was weird and not convenient, the couch seat cushions were terribly overused and sink so low that using the ottoman was then very uncomfortable, the tap water is not good (chemical smell) and there is no complementary alternative - carried a lot of water from the convenience store 3 blocks away every day, shower door didn't close right so some water out on the floor which could get dangerously slippery All in all, GREAT experience. Service was excellent -- Tim served me for dinner all 4 nights and was a delight. The front desk people were friendly and helpful as well. I felt quite welcome. THANK YOU DISTINCTION.
