"Time wasted at the lake, is time well spent" This cozy lake cottage is the perfect place to unwind and reset. Come relax and enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Erie right from the porch!  Steps away from a big beach! Rent a bike and ride through beautiful Point Gratiot park. The entrance of the park is steps from our lakehouse, inside the park are beautiful grounds with pavilions, grills, playgrounds, volleyball and a new gaga ball pit! As if, that isn't enough to do, enjoy the hot tub on the porch with sounds of Lake Erie waves crashing on the shore or relax around the fire pit. If fishing is your thing grab a fishing license for the day and bring your fishing rods, we have Crooked Brook Creek that runs right through the backyard! Known for the fish you can catch, lots of small mouth, large mouth, perch and more! The brooke is known to get high after rain and storms so make sure to be cautious.

Great little home. Perfect location for our needs. Steelhead fishing, restaurants nearby and convenience stores. Hot tub is a plus for winter fishing. Owners were easy to reach and very friendly.

The decor and cleanliness that the hosts provided was everything we needed to make our stay in Dunkirk meaningful and pleasant. The view of the beach from the back porch was exquisite with excellent views of the Lake Erie sunset. The walking path in the Point Gratiot park is accessible and is short distance from the driveway. I plan to return next year!

Summer family visit

We had a wonderful stay while visiting family and friends in Dunkirk. The house was comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The hot tub was a huge hit for both the adults and children.The kids loved the yard, hammock, and hot tub. We enjoyed relaxing at the beach, collecting sea glass, and watching beautiful sunsets. The location was perfect for us to visit local family and explore Dunkirk’s waterfront, lighthouse area, and downtown. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great location

The house was perfect for my family. We were there for 10days. It was really nice to be close to the lake. It had great yard space and amenities. There were plenty of towels to be used and the best stocked kitchen with pots, pans, plates, and cooking utensils I have ever seen. I had one suggestion to the host for an item to be stocked in the house. It was a laundry basket. The host said they would have one ordered and sent to the house. The host is very responsive to messages. We had a great experience.

A great property with a great location steps away from Pt Gratiot beach. Owner was very responsive and property was clean with great amenities. Dunkirk is a quiet small city with a lot of potential. I can see myself returning!

Day at the beach

The cottage was cute and very close to the beach. We basically had the beach all to ourselves. The cottage did smell as if someone had smoked in it previously and the hose was broken so it was hard to clean off sand after a long day spent at the beach. Overall, would recommend it!

Lots of thoughtful details

The property is clearly cared about, and the host has put thought into making one's stay a good one - the kitchen is very well equipped, there are plenty of clean towels, and lots of blankets for chilly evenings. It could have been cleaner (there was debris under the bed and more impressive cobwebs than I'd expect from somewhere that had been cleaned recently) but we would certainly stay there again.

Cozy Lakehouse in Great Location

We had a great stay at the Lakehouse in Dunkirk, NY. We always try to stay here when we go home to Dunkirk. The house is located in a fantastic location, just yards from the lake and by one of the city parks. The beds are comfortable and our grandson loves the bunk beds. Everything we needed was available including a washer, drawer and hot tub. Communication is great and and the hosts are very accommodating. Thanks so much for having such a nice place to stay.
