Lovely B&B

Great accomodations for our night! They handled our later arrival well. The hot tub was lovely. Breakfast on the patio with the hummingbirds was a treat. It felt like a homey retreat where we met other families on Durango and Western slope adventures.

The property was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable throughout our stay. The owners—a delightful couple—were accommodating and genuinely pleasant, adding a personal touch that made us feel welcome. One of the highlights was spending time on the back deck, which offered stunning views of the mountains and unforgettable sunsets, all accented by the charm of hummingbirds and wild turkeys in the yard. There was one minor drawback: the bedroom floor squeaked noticeably with each step, occasionally waking my wife in the morning. While this didn’t detract from the overall experience, addressing the issue would make future stays even more restful.

It would be a full 5* except for the bed. I haven't slept on anything that hard since my teenage years on concrete floors. A foam topper would go a long way on that bed. Property was excellent. Back porch was 2nd story high and the birds and hummingbirds were awesome. A family of turkeys walked through during breakfast, and a small muledeer buck fed about 40 yards away.

Relaxing and Endearing

This was a relaxing stop on a girls road trip. We relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed breakfast on the back deck. The owners were very kind, welcomed us warmly, and made us feel at home. How did we get so lucky to have found this haven?!

Beautiful property and visit for a much needed peaceful getaway. The porch alone was worth it! Our hosts were very accommodating, loved the hot tub. Would definitely go again!

This is a lovely location. The view from our room and the deck was a deep, wide green lawn leading to trees and dense foliage. The deck had lots of seating. The only negative is that all the furniture is wood and there are no cushions on any of it. My husband has no natural padding so he couldn’t sit there for long.

Wonderful, but prepare if allergic to pets

Amazing place ran by an amazing couple. There were more accommodations and amenities here than I have had at the fanciest hotels I have stayed at. Would highly recommend. Only thing I will say is do not come here if you have a pet allergy because they have a cat and a dog. My partner and I made the mistake of not checking beforehand but it was a delightful stay anyway.

Highly Recommend

This is a great property with even better hosts. They made me feel right at home. It is probably the closest B&B near Purgatory Ski Resort. Convenient, private and an overall wonderful time. I will return.

Very nice country setting and the establishment was very comfortable, quiet and relaxing yet close enough to Durango and other sites of interest. The hosts, Jodi and Walter, were very pleasant and welcoming and have been in the area a long time. They provided us some good tips about sites to see. We saw the overall rating for the property on Hotels.com was 10/10-- and we see why. It's lovely. It was absolutely immaculate, and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Because we arrived late in the evening and early in the morning, we didn't get a chance to take advantage of all the amenities, but we'll certainly be back!
