We found two cockroaches. One inside room(alive) and one dead outside the door. Under the beads and tv stand were filthy! Trash, tennis ball, dirt. We were told at check in that there was breakfast in the morning from 6-9. It was not open when we were there at 6:15. Front desk staff were friendly, pool clean, room appeared clean until looking closer. The elevator was broken(we didn’t need it) ice machines missing….. I expressed my concerns to the front desk at checkout. They were very nice about it and apologetic. It was both great and terrible so it gets a medium review. I wouldn’t have stayed another night due to the roaches. Felt duped by the free breakfast.

The toilet leaked, our room looked like it had water damage in the past (the repairs were abysmal), our shower drain was plugged up after the first shower and it took over 24 hours to get someone there to fix it so we wouldn't be in standing water, our towels were not changed out daily and we had to chase down someone to get us fresh ones for our bathroom, only to get bath towels that were not totally dry and still damp. There was no water pressure in the shower, which made for an extended shower time. But it was nice having a coffee maker in the room and free use of the refrigerator for our drinks we had. The beds were not comfortable. They were lumpy and hurt our backs and hips. The pool area is in desperate need of daily cleaning. The birds were using it as their bath and there was poop everywhere. The pools themselves need desperate facelifts and repainting and the water was filmy and "recycled". Ugh! Gross...so if a child or someone else accidentally ingests the water you could get sick. When we arrived the elevators were not working and our check in guy made arrangements to move us to a lower level room, which we appreciated. It was overall ok for what we paid for but I wouldn't go there again.

I liked the hotel. I liked the architecture. It was a comfortable stay. The staff was friendly. There were a few things that did not work well like the toilet that was clogged for which we called but after 6 hours we had to go to the front desk to have it fixed, the overflowing water fountain which filter sign was red but in general it was a lovely stay.
