Your stay here gives you full access to El Gavilan Villa’s amenities- pool, hot tubs, lounging beds, firepits, fitness center, steam rooms/ saunas, rooftop yoga area- all within walking distance to the famous surf break of Cerritos Beach.

The condo is stylishly appointed with locally handcrafted custom woodwork, and is fully equipped for a fun day at the beach, with surfboards, boogie boards, beach chairs, and beach umbrella.

Open the front door and enjoy the natural lighting coming from the expansive sliding glass doors.Walk past the fully stocked kitchen into a spacious, comfortable living space where you can relax on a plush sofa while watching the Smart TV or keeping connected with family and friends, or work commitments with strong reliable WiFi. The cooling ocean breeze will take over the condo as you open the sliders. Step onto the private covered balcony and have your breath taken away as you absorb the panoramic ocean view in front of you. Ample patio furniture, an outdoor BBQ, and firepit complement this outdoor space, where you will likely spend much of your time overlooking the pool and being lulled into a tranquil bliss by the endless crash of the ocean waves.

Step back inside and enter the master suite. A plush king sized bed awaits you, as does a spacious bathroom and shower. This sanctuary includes its own TV and blackout shades to ensure you a completely restful night. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and a twin bed, and its own bathroom and shower. A third half bathroom gives even more space for all the guests, and a washer and dryer is tucked away in the closet.

Let’s take a walk outside.

Right outside the front door you will find our surfboard rack. Feel free to use one of our boards, or store yours here after a day of catching waves that Cerritos is known for. The elevator is located next to the stairs if you need a lift. Go down one flight and then find the stairs that lead to the gym. Your fitness goals won’t take a hit during your stay, as the El Gavilan Villa fitness center is fully equipped with free weights and cardio equipment. There is a steam room/ sauna in each of the restrooms, and a spiral staircase leads you to a rooftop yoga area. The entire fitness center has epic views of the Cerritos Beach area, making your workout all the more magical.

Enjoy a swim in the lap pool overlooking the Pacific, or soak away your worries in one of the two hot tubs. Lay out in one of the loungers in the wading pool, or fully relax in one of the mini-cabanas located just below the pool area. Sit with your friends just below this at one of the large fire pits and have your breath taken away during sunset.

Time to hit the beach.

A short walk leads one down to the secluded beach below the property, where you can escape the bustle of Cerritos main beach, and likely find yourself all alone. Watch the crabs scurry about around the tide pools, and watch the waves crash into the rocky shoreline.

Cerritos is a laid back surf town where you can find plenty of cafes, bars, and restaurants filled with friendly locals and visitors alike. The beach is expansive, and walking south you will find a spot away from the hustle and bustle of the main area if you seek some solitude. The surf is suitable for all levels of surfers, and there are multiple opportunities for surf lessons or rentals. Loungers and umbrellas are available to rent, and you will also find a few beach bars offering snacks, meals, and plenty of beer and cocktails. Aside from the beach area, Cerritos has plenty of dining options, from quick and cheap tacos to more upscale sit down restaurants serving a variety of cuisines. Other things you should know.

There are two grocery stores in Cerritos, El Sol and Kimberley’s, both located on the main dirt road heading in. Agricole is a great store for locally grown fruits and vegetables, quality meats, and prepared foods located a little north of Pescadero. A larger El Sol supermarket can be found in Todos Santos, a quick 15 minute drive to the north. Please note that if you arrive in either Cabo San Lucas or La Paz, both these larger urban centers have far more options for shopping such as Costco, Wal-mart, and the many larger Mexican supermarkets such as Freska.

Please beware that the Cerritos area consists of only dirt roads with many ruts and bumps and little street signage. A higher clearance vehicle is helpful, as well as an adventurous spirit and a willingness to drive a little slower.

Also please realize that the Cerritos area is currently seeing a big boom in new construction. With this development comes some associated noises and disturbances, but has never been any more than a mere inconvenience.
