Located just one hour (90 km) from Paris—or 40 minutes from Charles de Gaulle Airport—our home sits in the heart of a quiet village, surrounded by beautiful forests and picturesque farmland.



It’s the perfect spot for family gatherings, reconnecting with friends, exploring the region (hiking, cycling, horse riding...), or simply unwinding and escaping the hustle and bustle of city life.



Please note: parties and loud gatherings are not permitted.

A peaceful countryside retreat near Paris



The house is located just one hour from Paris, between the regions of Oise and Picardy, in the heart of a small and picturesque village called Éméville. Surrounded by nature—with forest to the north and farmland to the south—it's an ideal place for family gatherings, reconnecting with friends, discovering the region (hiking, cycling, horse riding...), or simply escaping the city and relaxing in the countryside.



Originally built in 1850, this charming country house has been fully renovated and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need to enjoy a comfortable stay. Just bring your personal belongings!


You'll also benefit from ultra-fast 2 Gbps fiber optic internet with excellent Wi-Fi mesh coverage throughout the house and most of the garden.



Layout:


On the ground floor, you’ll find:


• an entrance hall


• a fully equipped kitchen and dining area


• a cozy lounge with a fireplace


• a living room with a home theater and workspace


• a bathroom and separate WC



Upstairs, the first floor offers:


• five bedrooms


• one bathroom with a shower


(Please note: there is no second WC on this floor.)



Outside, enjoy a spacious private garden (approx. 1300 m²) with full access to outdoor furniture, a barbecue, and other garden equipment.


The house is also pet-friendly, but please let us know in advance if you’re bringing a pet.



You’ll have access to all main living areas of the house. A few spaces, however, are off-limits (the garage, boiler room, and certain locked closets or drawers). The rule is simple: if it’s locked, it’s private — everything else is for your enjoyment (within reasonable use, of course).



During your stay, I may not be present in person, but my neighbors are aware of your visit and can assist if necessary. Of course, I remain fully available by phone, WhatsApp, Messenger, or Airbnb messaging to answer any questions you may have at any time.



The Region



The house is located in the peaceful village of Éméville, in the Picardy region. Surrounded by nature—with forest to the north and open crop fields to the south—it’s a quiet rural village of around 300 residents. You’ll find a town hall (with an event space), a primary school, a playground, and a small church.



Éméville is a great starting point for discovering nearby historical and cultural sites such as Pierrefonds, Compiègne, Senlis, and Chantilly.



Families will also enjoy easy access to several popular theme parks:


La Mer de Sable – 30 minutes by car


Parc Astérix – 30 minutes by car


Disneyland Paris – approximately 1 hour by car



Local activities include (but are not limited to):


• forest walks and hiking trails


• scenic cycling routes (both on roads and forest paths)


• farm visits


• horseback riding


• tours of the region’s castles, manors, and charming villages



A welcome folder (continuously being updated) will be waiting for you at the house, with maps, brochures, and curated recommendations for activities and places to visit.
