We stayed in a dome. No frill but adequate. Clean and quiet on a Monday night in late August. Only power outlets are in use for AC and light. Consider bringing a power strip. Insulation and soundproofing are quite good. 4-5 tents (6-7 total) were being used and we shared three full bathrooms. We never had to wait in line for the bathroom. Towels in the dome. Breakfast had waffles, toast, muffins, bagel, yogurt, coffee, fruit cups. You can also rent sand boards at the office. Overall a nice experience. Peppermint the cat was very friendly. I below he’s the real owner of this place ;)

It’s at the end of town with little to nothing open. Very drab. Not sure why that end of town is deteriorated The hotel is ok and was fine for our 1 night stay. Other reviews made it sound quite nice. I was a bit disappointed. The air conditioner was loud and was a wall unit not central air. The bed was worn, but everything was quite clean. The breakfast the next morning was good. The staff were nice.

Nice hotel near RMNP!

Discovery Lodge is a nice home base for visiting Estes, with a quick drive to the park. It's located near the free trolley, which is worth checking out in advance to better plan your trip. Breakfast could definitely use improvements, and make sure to shop for water at the grocery store (nearby) in case their dispenser is not working. The rooms & beds were clean and comfortable, and view from the back balcony/ windows is beautiful. During the fall, elk are EVERYWHERE! This trip was my 4th time to stay here. There are breweries, shops and restaurants closer into town- a trolley ride, longer walk or short drive. The Stanley was nice, but if you're visiting within two hours of closing they might be shutting down all around you.

Great Place

Bed was good, pillows could be better. Breakfast was a couple of boiled eggs, which you had to ask for. Other choices were sparse, such as there being only white bread for toast (no wheat or bagels) and there weren't any pastries. The property is kind of hard to get in and out of, but there was wildlife on property so that made our trip.

Hard turn enter property. Room was lovely and clean and had two entrances. Shower curtain isn't inside a latch so I've flooded the floor in the bathroom.

Looks different than on the picture, like an apartment complex. The room was very small, even though we paid for premium. Tv didn’t work. No one told us anything at the counter, they just handed us the keys. Would not stay again for that price.

This was a great little motel with great location. Walkable to Stanley hotel, Safeway grocery store, downtown and a few restaurants for breakfast (trust me). Staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. Note that housekeeping is on request. The lodge was very clean too except for a few spiders in the room but It was indeed a very clean motel. Good amenities too, nice little pond where Elks were bathing, fire pit, kids play area. Fantastic. It was great to see so many elks on the property but they did poop all over so you have to watch out for that. Breakfast was included but it would have been better if they didn’t. Packaged stuff (eggs bread crustables). We didn’t even bother going for it. Just bought stuff from Safeway or eat at a nearby restaurant. Price was super reasonable. One of the best places and location in Estes park.
