There was a very strong and odd smell at the front desk when I checked into our room. I thought maybe it was due to the pool maintenance that there was a note taped to the front desk about. My family and I put our bags in our room on the second floor and were in the room no more than 5-10 minutes before we left to get supper. The smell upstairs was horribly strong and smelled of acetone or a strong glue. When we returned to the hotel maybe 90 minutes later, we grabbed our bags from the room and went to checkout, as we were already getting headaches. There was no mention of any work being done in the hotel nor mention of this strong smell at check-in. Due to the circumstances, of this being about our health, I asked the staff at the desk if we could get a refund of some sort, as there is no way we can stay there. There was a group of people at the front desk wanting a double bed room, which is what we had. The staff member said that “ the manager said that since we are fully booked, everyone has to pay at least one night fee. But I can leave a note for her to review and she can contact you.” I thanked her and said that would be great. This was Friday night. It is now Sunday and nobody has reached out to us, and the full charge for the room of 157 cleared my account PLUS the $50 incidental fee that SHOULD have fallen off! We literally were in the room for 10 minutes tops and checked out three hours maximum after checkin. This is deceitful business practices, in a LOT of ways.

Staff went above and beyond my expectations. I had an operation and the hospitalized me. Disturb for days in West acres in Fargo, North Dakota, one above and beyond by storing my food in the freezer until I returned almost 2 weeks later. I didn’t have much money and to get my food back was completely amazing The free breakfast is good in the morning and yes, the rooms are clean. The place is very well cared for her. The swimming pool and hot tub should be open back up this week or early next week. The owner said everything redone which I was still there to try out the new amenities

I guess it was fair for the price. However the construction was very obnoxious and wish I had received warning about the pool being closed. Had to walk around boxes and trash in the halls. Not terribly impressed. Also my TV didn’t work, could only access one channel.

Having to give a $50 deposit in case I damaged anything. Things were already damaged. A floor lamp appeared to be in need of repair, some items were dusty, the shower did not look thoroughly cleaned and the drain cover had been removed. There also was an iron bar and screw that was on the side of the mattress that probably should not have been there..

Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Pool was under maintenance our two night stay. Did not state on website or wouldn’t have booked as we had two kids. Staff offered for us to use the Travel Lodge two hotels away. We were not walking with two children in the cold and snow with wet hair, so not able to use a pool.

The pool was closed and empty, so had been closed for some time. Huge disappointment we didn’t know until we called afterwards.The entire poolroom was freezing, frost/snow inside the doors even. Pur room had a ripped /bent screen and wi dow couldn't close properly making the room super cold. There was not any hand soap, residue that was hard and sticky at the bottom of the tub, the hot tub was open 24/7 since the pool was out of order but it was not clean after being in there for 5 minutes we ran out so fast there was clumps of hair and fuzz all over floating. So gross. No towels just dirty ones laying around too. Wasnt a busy place so not sure why it was so unkept.

Under renovations we got locked in our room the deadbolt was stuck, phone was not working . Had to use our cell phone to call front desk, to get them to help by using the joining door from next room. Missed breakfast because of that .

Would not recommend this hotel and we are not picky people. Showed up and there’s a sign saying “pool is closed”, lady at the front says oh it was short notice so we couldn’t notify anyone, we have a 5 year old with us who we’d been promising all day she gets to swim in the pool, so I ask if anything can be done, no sorry my manager isn’t in right now but I’ll get her to call you. Oh and the hot tub is open all night. Great, so we go to the hot tub for a bit but that only lasts so long, the pool is also empty, sanded and prepped to be painted, so I wouldn’t say that’s short notice. The room had debris all over the floor, shower head leaked all over the bathroom, just overall not good. And big surprise we never heard from the manager even after being promised a phone call.
