For a four star hotel, which advertises an inclusive spa, I would not expect to have to buy a swimming hat for each of my party (including the two year old) to allow entry to swimming pool. The rooms are clean and equipped as you would expect, but climate control isn’t available- you are stuck with a window that opens a crack and whatever the rooms temperature is set at. We stayed a night as it is close to Rosslare ferry, but I wouldn’t be in a hurry to stay for a longer period.

Best hotel in wexford

I look for this hotel all the time because i believe its the best one in wexford. Noise proof, clean, friendly staff, food is beautiful, swimming pool is perfect, parking is ideal.

Lovely hotel, a few issues.

Nice hotel. Some long corridor treks, with corridors only of domestic widths, about 3' or a metre. Meeting a childs buggy while pulling a case required some dodging, only one lift at one end of the building, so going from the pool at the other end was either walk the stairs at that end up, or trek all the way back to the lift, then the same journey back to your room if at the pool end of your floor. Food in bar good, great choice too. View over the enclosed inlet is fun, like a sizable lake that emptys out completely on low tide, then you can watch it actually fill again from the rising tide and the river Slaney Rooms very well fitted, but no AC or powered ventilation would be a worry in very warm weather, rooms all south east facing, ours was really warm on a 23° day. Fortunately I know how to disengage the window safety latch wide open.No fridge so bring your powered cooler box. Breakfast good, but has that buffet breakfast issue where a lage amount of breakfast goods are cooked very early and then sit in large heated Bain Maries. If you arrive for a late Breakfast, 9.30 or after, bacon, puddings, fried potatoe cubes were all dried out. Cook a little and often, better to have to ask staff to refill a small dish than eat dried out goods. Coffee was also made in advance in huge Roberts filter coffee urns on a hot plate. By 9.45 it was bitter and unpalatable. Replace these relics with 3 or 4 bean to cup machines. Fresh and waste free. Staff excellent.

We arrived early at the hotel, and were able to check in, although our room wasn't ready. We were greeted by very friendly staff at reception. Ann was particularly friendly. After a coffee in the bar/restaurant we went off exploring. We received a text to say that our room was ready, but we were enjoying Wexford town, so returned later. Parking was easy. Our large room had a great view over the river. The room was comfortable & clean with good facilities, as was the bathroom. We had dinner in the Dry Dock Bar, a little pricey, but delicious. Breakfast was a hot & cold buffet with lots of choice. Overall a great stay.

We loved this property. It is so nicely situated along the Slaney River close to Wexford town. There are lovely sitting areas both outside on decking and inside the hotel with beautiful views of river. Fantastic staff. Good food in Dry Dock bar. Breakfast had great choices and good food.Views of River from all Dining areas.

Beautiful grounds! Rooms were very nice, and our kids loved the indoor pool. I wish that there had been a little more variety on the pub menu for lunch and dinner, but the breakfast was delicious.
