Undisclosed £5 parking fee. This is a hotel at a motorway services that charges extra for parking if you don't book direct, but their advertisement on Expedia says explicitly "free self parking" which is a lie.
Breakfast options are poor, at "The Good Breakfast" at the services, which is about as dire as you can get; cheap ingredients swimming in oil at a premium price. Plan to eat elsewhere.
Filthy room, especially the carpets.
Had to pay £5 to park.
Miserable and unhelpful reception staff on arrival.
Mattress on the floor for 8 year old.
Bathroom door didn't close.
Car alarm going off outside the room for a large part of the night.
Rats running around outside the hotel in the morning.
Will not be returning!
The room was cleaned but what looked like a ahit stain was on the floor that had just been smudged in, the shower was hot but the shower curtain was erm in need of replacing and probably burning to protect the environment. It was quite and to be honest not a bad nights sleep
Expedia should be transparent and state they are charging a fee when booking. Booking direct would have been cheaper and Expedia should be honest and state that.
Get what you pay for. Absolutely brilliant for the price

Staff very friendly and went out of way to assist and deal with things especially Aubrey (she’s 5 star) but room is old dated and needs modernising.
Warm, ok bed, pillows shocking.
Not dirty but very tired.
