Cozy cabin nestled in a quiet, private community, surrounded by all that the mountains have to offer: serene wooded areas with all the plants, local deer, and mountain breezes! Large open-concept den with a fireplace. Clean, spacious, easy-going. Big outdoor back deck allows you to escape and relax. Lucious and green in the summer. Surrounded by colors in the fall. Cozy and warm for the winter. Just a scoot to West Jefferson, 30 mins from Boone, and under 10 mins to the Blue Ridge Parkway!

Outside, the cabin has a small front deck for watching birds, deer, and chipmunks. The back deck is large and faces a cascade of trees, rhododendrons, and mountain laurels. Deck features table and chairs, grill, and two rocking chairs with cushions under a covered area. Plenty of room to relax, play games, or spend time with family and friends.

Inside, the open-concept den features a sitting area for viewing either the fireplace or TV. Accompanying dining area comfortably sits 4 adults, and extra chairs are provided upon request. Kitchen is equipped with cooking and baking supplies, coffee-maker, coffee and tea, and plenty of counter space. Cabinet space allows you to tuck all your food stuffs away. Two bedrooms, each with an attached full bathroom. The master features a large, inset queen mattress, simple design, and adorned with house plants. The master bathroom has a double-basin vanity, with a separate area for the toilet and large walk-in shower. The guest bedroom features a full with accompanying full bathroom.

House is spacious and accessible. The driveway is gravel and there are thresholds at the front and back doors, but otherwise this home is fully accessible starting from the front walkway, to the arrangement of the furniture, to the master bathroom and back entrance, where grab bars have been added.

It was perfect for our family. My sister has some mobility issues and the handicap accessories were great. The drive to the cabin was extremely easy and then the access into house was great - no steps. The kitchen was fully equipped and my niece was able to prepare some wonderful breakfasts. We loved the cleanliness of the cabin. We would definably book it again. We all decided that if and when we come again, we would not book our schedule so tight. We would love to just sit on the back deck and just ENJOY!Thanks again for a wonderful stay. Judy

The cabin felt like home and the host was easy to communicate with. Loved the back deck for sitting and reading. Didn't get the opportunity to grill out but there was a nice gas grill. Quite neighborhood with plenty of places for walking. Plenty of room inside for relaxing, cooking and eating. Would stay here again if in the area. Thanks for sharing your place.

Merlefest Trip

The cabin was easy to find and the road was in good shape. The shower has strong water pressure which is not always the case. The kitchen is well stocked. We even used some of the maple syrup when we wanted to make French toast!

Cozy Cabin

The cabin was perfect! Cozy, quiet and clean. It is a short drive to a grocery store. We were able to spend the day exploring Blowing Rock and come back to the cabin to relax by the fireplace in the evening. We definitely plan on staying here again.

Peaceful and relaxing getaway

This may be one of my favorite places that I’ve ever stayed because the location is perfect for people who want to relax. It’s in a gated neighborhood but you aren’t close enough to neighbors to even notice that they’re there. The kitchen is nicely stocked for cooking and the beds are very comfortable. There’s a nice view of the mountains from the back deck, which is also a great place to hang out in the afternoons and watch the deer roaming through the woods. It is close to lots of hiking and natural areas, like Mt Jefferson and the New River. It’s also reasonably close to Boone if you want something a little busier for an evening. There are some great local restaurants and taprooms in the area and if you love a fantastic burger, check out Black Jack’s Pub and Grill. I definitely want to stay here again.
