The cottage is right on the pond with a private beach , 2 kayaks as well as a paddleboard and floats for your enjoyment. Prefer saltwater? East Sandwich and Sandy Neck beach are only 5 miles away. Whether you’re relaxing indoors or exploring nearby, this tranquil spot offers a welcoming atmosphere. Was down at Buzzard's Bay for a Triathlon. The family came along. The kids loved the kayaks and lake behind th house. Great place!

Relaxing rental

Very cute home on a small pond. Very clean and well stocked. Best part is the deck with awning, availability of kayaks and the dock. Also the outside shower is nice!

Cape Cod cortage

We loved our stay. The house was very clean and had everything we could want. It was on a pond which was perfect for my family. We went swimming and used the kayaks and paddle board. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would definitely go back and recommend it to our friends.

Waterfront Cape Cod Oasis

Introduced our out of state friends to the Cape...they experienced firsthand why we love this part of our state. Rental had everything we needed. Deck, dock, kayaks, SUP, and firepit got a lot of use!

Perfect family getaway

The house is perfect for a small family getaway. Our family of four had more than enough room at the house and nothing can beat the direct lake access from the house. We enjoyed all our meals on the deck overlooking the lake and S’mores by the campfire at night. The house was very clean and everything worked well. We would def consider renting the house again.

A wonderful experience

The cottage was very clean and the property well maintained. Paddle board, kayak & floaties were a great way to enjoy the quiet pond. Host was very responsive to every question we had. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing place but close to lots of things to do & places to eat.

Perfect for Relaxing

Stayed with my husband and adult daughter. The house is adorable, not to mention clean and well stocked with everything needed for a getaway, from cooking essentials to kayaks! We relaxed on the back deck for morning coffee and meals; sunbathed on the lower pond deck with a good book; and kayaked every day.

Pimlico pond house

We loved our stay at this house on the pond. Quiet, peaceful place to relax and spend time with my family. Close to beaches restaurants. House was very nice. We enjoyed spending time outside on the deck and kayaking in the pond. 😊

Fantastic lake-side house

We had a great time on this property. If you enjoy fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and generally spending time in and around fresh water, you are going to like this place. The house is clean and comfortable. AC can come in useful on hot days. The kitchen is well equipped and well stocked. The deck is a strong plus - it is comfortable and has great views. Importantly, the host is absolutely fantastic to deal with.

Just Like Home

We had an amazing time at Grandpa’s Cottage. The rental is exactly how it is described and shown in pictures. Very clean and very well stocked with anything you might need which is rare with rentals. Beds are comfortable, adequate seating for all. Grill worked great and the awning on the porch was a savior. Pond is beautiful, serene and clean and we had loads of fun with the kayaks and paddleboard. Very close to local stores and a great seafood market up the road. We loved everything about Grandpa’s cottage!

Pond perfection on the Cape

Just returned from an amazing vacation at Grandpas Cottage. Everything from communicating with Rachel at the start and conclusion of our stay to SO much in between. From kayaking and paddleboarding to the tranquility of mornings and evenings on the deck. The small details make a huge difference as well. We loved the photos and notes of family history and the coffee mugs as a takeaway was very thoughtful. We couldn’t be more happy with every minute of our time at Pimilico pond and the surrounding area. Will absolutely return! Thank you Rachel and Mike!

Could not have been more perfect!!

What a lovely location! It met our needs perfectly, with a beautiful and tranquil pond-side property and only a 15 min drive to Scusset Beach. I’ve never stayed at a rental with such comfortable beds and bedding! The home was pristine and had everything we needed. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck overlooking the water, and the little beach area was the perfect swimming spot for my friend’s three-year-old daughter. We didn’t want to leave and we are already trying to figure out a way to come back next year and stay even longer! The owners were very responsive and friendly - we had one minor issue with the grill the first night and it was resolved immediately. Best vacation stay I’ve had!

Beautiful vacation cottage

I had a wonderful vacation. Bright clean updated waterfront cottage. My family spent most of the time relaxing in the multi level yard. Cottage level had a fire pit with stringed lights for nighttime and lower level brings you out to a large deck on the water. There were three kayaks for our enjoyment and beach towels and lounge chairs too. There is a stunning view of the lake from the double sliders off the family room. They lead out to an extra large deck with seating for six. The owners were so friendly and checked in with us upon our arrival and during our stay to make sure we were comfortable. The Location was perfect. Short drive to shopping, beaches, restaurants etc. I would highly recommend a stay at this Cape Cod gem. Already planning a return trip.

What a gem!

We enjoyed our stay so much! The host is very reactive. We had a small incident when arriving which was solved immediately (thanks again Rachel!) The property was clean and well provided with everything we needed. We were 6 persons: 4 adults plus 2 kids (9 and 11 years old) and had enough space. Our kids loved the loft ;-) Every morning we started our day with a little kayak tour and swimming in/around the lake (the direct access to the lake is priceless :-)) There are also multiple sitting accommodations on the property, so depending on the time of the day your can follow the sun / the shade (depending on your preference). The outdoor shower was much-loved. We left just yesterday and our kids are already asking if we could go there again next summer ;-) Conclusion: great house, great garden, great lake and absolutely worth staying there! 🥰

Fabulous Getaway

The cottage on Pimlico Pond was perfect for my husband and I. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck overlooking the pond with the ducks, birds and busy squirrels. We enjoyed kayaking on the pond and relaxing on the lounge chairs in the company of brilliantly colored dragonflies. The lovely neighborhood was very quiet. I hope I did not disturb the neighbors with my flute playing! It is in a great location to visit all that Sandwich has to offer. We were able to see the Heritage Gardens and Museum, Sandwich Glass Museum and Green Briar Nature Center all a short drive from the property. We also spent an afternoon at Whydah Pirate Museum in Yarmouth. Fascinating! There was plenty more that we did not get to do. I hope that we will be able to stay there again. Rachel is a super host and was easy to get in touch with and made us feel welcomed. Thank you for making such a lovely place available to us.

Cape Cod Tranquility

Our stay at the lake cottage was perfection. Situated privately on Pimlico Pond, this lakeview home surrounded by nature and little animals was absolute serenity and peace. We walked down the pathway from the driveway to find the cottage, a beautiful deck in the back, a fire pit off to the side well stocked with fire wood, a cozy hammock tucked in between the trees, and a private dock with chairs, floats, paddleboards and kayaks. The deck also had a lovely outdoor shower, totally private, as well as a grill and an awning with lights. The dock has lights as well, so when the sun goes down, the dock is beautifully lit up. We felt so welcomed as we entered the home, two mugs gifted to us by our host making us feel so special. The interior was extremely comfortable, large refrigerator, a very nice kitchen with island, lots of storage, completely stocked with spices, coffee, all the pots and pans, fishes, bowls, utensils, etc. There was a Keurig machine as well as a French Press, which was great for us! The couch was very comfortable, and on the rainy days, it was lovely to sit indoors and look out onto the lake, since there were glass doors lining the back of the home so you had a complete view of the yard from inside. There was a TV with all the streaming services, games, books, binoculars, you name it. The home was well stocked with linens, towels, and the like. It was only the two of us who stayed time (my wife and I), but there were extra bedrooms and a loft for other guests. The other bedrooms had good storage, lots of bins and hooks. The main bedroom had a washer/dryer which was very handy! There were also little bits of family memorabilia throughout the home, pictures of their family throughout the years which made it feel so welcoming. We brought our small dog with us and he loved it. He ran around the yard investigating, and we took him for walks in the nearby trails. Our host Rachel was so kind and responsive, very thoughtful and it was a pleasure to interact with her. Overall, we couldn’t have had a better time waking up to the sun rising over the lake, having coffee and watching the ducks, kayaking throughout the day, sitting on the dock, lounging in the hammock, eating on the deck each evening, and ending the night with a cozy fire pit. We did not want to leave! We cannot wait to return to this little slice of heaven. Thank you Rachel!

Great vacation spot at the Cape

We had a great experience staying at this house. The house itself had everything we needed and was very clean. Super easy check in, and Rachel was a very helpful host. We really enjoyed the pond, and used the kayaks and the paddle board! This is a great stay, would love to come back!

Wonderful from start to finish

My Boyfriend and I were looking for relaxing getaway without having to traveling out of state. From beginning to end this trip was perfect. The cottage was clean and updated. Kayaks and floats were there for us to use and we spent a whole day in the water. Outdoor shower to rinse off, a grill and a fire pit! We had a short stay so we didn’t even get to use all the amenities. Also I a great location close to so many good restaurants. One of the things that was the most helpful but not typical for the cape is that they provide bedding and towels which cuts the packing in half. We will for sure be returning!!

WE'RE IN LOVE WITH THIS COTTAGE!!

There are no words to describe how charming, inviting, and relaxing this vacation home is! It is more than a gem, it is a diamond!! The house is immaculate and is filled with loving touches everywhere. Rachel, the owner, has thought of every detail!! She has thought of everything a family would need from kitchen supplies to blow-up tubes! We were so impressed by her attention to detail. When we arrived, we were welcomed with a warm note and a set of mugs from Rachel. That made us feel like we were being pampered. Everything in the house is beautifully arranged so that as soon as you walk in, you're immediately relaxed. We would sit in the morning, sipping our coffee while mesmerized by the tranquility of the pond, glistening in the sunshine. Sitting on the deck overlooking the pond was such an amazing experience. I can still visualize that image in my mind now and instantly, I feel calmer. We couldn't have imagined a house any better. The pictures don't do it justice. It was the perfect getaway to de-stress from daily life. It's a sanctuary that is very special. My daughter would meditate on the dock every morning. We had a lot of fun using the kayaks and paddleboard. We've been renting houses on the Cape for 30 years and I can honestly say, that this house by far has been the BEST house we've stayed in. We met Rachel and her mom who were absolutely lovely and they shared their family history of the house which made it even more special. We feel like we weren't renting but instead, we were visiting friends. It was incredibly sad to leave. We are definitely coming back and staying longer next year! Thank you so much Rachel for your thoughtfulness, warmth and hospitality!!
