This fully renovated, in 2022, detached home has everything you could need for your Downtown Frederick stay! Within 2 blocks of The Visitors Center, SkyStage, Carroll Creek, and more, this central location will wow!

This is a pet friendly home with a large backyard for grilling and chilling. After a long day of exploring Frederick, there is nothing better than pulling into a private driveway and enjoying the serenity of this spacious private home.
The space
The Sunshine House is central to everything Frederick has to offer. One of our favorite parts of this house is the less than half mile walk to the "BREW-muda" triangle of Attaboy Brewing, Idiom Brewery, and Smoketown Brewery. Within 2 blocks from Carroll Creek, many of the attractions in Frederick are located on, or intersect with, the creek making it very walkable!

The last thing you want to do after arriving in a new city is to find parking. Whether it be in a garage or on the street, hauling your luggage can be a hassle and parking can quickly get expensive. The Sunshine House has a private driveway that can easily fit two cars making it an ideal location for travelers from near and far!

With en suite full bathrooms attached to both bedrooms, privacy is very front-of-mind. Whether you are traveling with a couple or with your family, the en suite bathrooms can accommodate many different needs. You will love our luxurious and plush beds!

As a pet friendly house, we have a fantastic backyard area for your dog! Complete with a back patio, grill, and outdoor seating, at the Sunshine House you will be able to take advantage of every beautiful day that comes your way.

There is an extra pet fee of $40. If you are bringing your pet, please make sure you let us know in the messaging/booking so we can charge you as apart of your stay and not after the fact!

As remote workers ourselves, we understand the need for a workspace and fast internet connection. We have a fantastic internet package (up to 300 Mbps download) and a desk located in the main bedroom in case you need to hop on a Zoom call before you hop out the door!
Guest access
Guests can access all areas of the home except the basement and owners closet.
Other things to note
The house comes with a smart TV fully loaded with Hulu + with Live TV, Disney +, and ESPN.

This house has a steep staircase and both bedrooms are located upstairs. Please keep this in mind when booking with children or individuals with mobility concerns.

Please note that this property has two exterior cameras.

Just Perfect

My family and I, with our 2 dogs, stayed at Sunshine House to atttend a wedding in the area. We found the house to be charming, clean, and loaded with nice ammenities. The location was perfect, close to shopping, dining, and quick access to the highway. Communication with the hosts was a breeze! I would highly recommend the Sunsine House to anyone visiting the area! Thank you for everything.

Great house, awesome location, very pleased

This house is well maintained and updated with everything we wanted. Easy walking distance to nearby shopping, dining, ice cream, beer, etc. Conveniently located near highway, though on a quiet sidestreet. Host communicated well before, during, and after stay. Highly recommended for anybody wanting to stay in this area!

Sweet house close to everything

This place has just the cutest decor! Comfortable beds and places to sit. The hosts were so gracious to allow me to stay there with my 2 Great Pyrenees when the one needed to go for surgery at Skylos. It was very helpful to have a driveway and little yard for them. Just a note if staying there with dogs, there are some not pet safe plants in the yard but easy to avoid if you keep your dog on a short leash. Had a wonderful time there and would definitely recommend to anyone who is wanting to stay in Frederick!

Wonderful stay

The house was great and well appointed. The hosts provided a book with details including local attractions and how to best enjoy the comfort of the home. The heat/air units were a little tricky to figure out, but once we did all was well. Loved the off street parking and easy accessibility to local restaurants, shops and galleries. Overall a great house and would stay again.

A Hidden Gem

Our daughter was married last weekend at Glen Ellen Farm in ijamsville. We wanted to be close to the venue and friends from out of state were staying with us. The Host was very accommodating and quickly responded to my multiple inquiries and requests. The house is adorable with a very nice private patio and yard in the back. Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely home .. amazing location

I spent 3 nights at this house with a friend of 40 years.. the house is clean and in a greet location. We loved sitting out back and the location was spot on. The fact that the proprietor’s allow dogs was fantastic . I traveled up from NC with my fur babies and Kaylin provided provisions for my girls. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Awesome Place to Stay

This place is very nice and clean! The Owner (Alex) is awesome... We have been looking for a good place to stay for couple of years, and finally found it! We have family in VA and always very disappointed with the places we stayed. NOT ANYMORE! This place will be our Home in VA from now on... In addition, we had an issue with the AC Unit and I sent email to owner on Friday; He responded immediately and came to the house and fix the issue. Thank you Alex for taking the next step to make sure we were comfortable. I recommend this place to everyone!

Wonderful Work(ish) Retreat!

Three of us (adult women) needed a quick local getaway to focus on our work (music rehearsing) without the interruptions of home. Kaylin and Alex’s place was perfect! Charming, beautifully decorated, fully equipped with everything you could need, and it’s the perfect location to walk to dinner, shops, river walk, and so on. No need to drive anywhere! The hosts were friendly, accommodating, and excellent communicators. We were super productive all while having a wonderful time! We hope to make this a semi-annual rehearsal retreat going forward. Thank you Kaylin and Alex for a wonderful stay.

Great Comfortable House!

Frederick was the perfect in between location for my friend and I to meet and in addition we found the perfect house for us to stay. The house was spotless and had everything we needed for a long weekend. The kitchen was stocked to our needs. There was a wonderful patio area behind the house. The house is close to the downtown, within walking distance. We parked our cars in the driveway and never moved them. We walked every where. If we return to the area we will definitely rent it again if it is available. Thanks!

Family Gathering

My husband, daughter and son-in-law and 4mo old grandson and were in Frederick for a weekday wedding. The house was convenient to the venue (a local brewery) and enabled my son-in-law to stay back from the wedding w the baby- and we the grandparents stayed back w him the day before while they caught up w cousins. The house was comfortable, clean and quiet! It worked perfectly for us! (I would not recommend the house bc of the stairs and railing above for a toddler tho!) The host thought of every extra detail- from snacks - coffee pods, to lovely hand cream/soaps and plush towels. The decor is very updated- contemporary, clean and yet warm. My husband enjoyed sitting out on the patio reading as we had some warm weather! We loved it!
