Only five miles from Historic Downtown Fredericksburg and the heart of Wine Country, slip back in time in this authentic 1800’s log cabin. Privately located on seven and a half gorgeous acres, Cactus Cabin provides the privacy and peace of being nestled in the tranquil Texas Hill Country surroundings while still conveniently located near the best that Fredericksburg has to offer.

Relax with a glass of wine on the front porch watching the deer nearby or after a long day of shopping and visiting the local wineries wind down in the hot tub while secluded for privacy in the nature of the Hill Country.

Surrounded by large Oak trees, Cactus Cabin is a quaint retreat that offers a cozy stay for two in it’s one bedroom, one bathroom home. The cabin features an electric fireplace, comfortable Queen size bed, Wifi, DVD Player, TV for Roku/Streaming ability and a rustic kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, Toaster oven and utensils. The open bathroom features an antique clawfoot soaker tub with an attached shower handle and sink connected to the kitchenette and also features a folding door room divider for privacy. The front porch is perfect for relaxing in the evening alongside the Hot Tub for a relaxing soak beneath the trees. Also with a deer feeder on site you may spot 20 or more Axis and Whitetail Deer in the mornings/evenings!! Such a sight to see!

We also provide a charcoal grill. Please be sure to bring charcoal and lighter fluid in the event we are out.

We provide hair dryers, iron and ironing board, coffee, sweetener and creamer for all of our guests. All linens are laundered and sanitized for each new guest!

With so much serenity and rustic relaxation at the cabin you may never want to leave! However with so many attractions in Fredericksburg such as museums, restaurants, shops and wineries be sure to explore the entire town and take in the culture! You can do wine tastings in town or visit any of the beautiful wineries along Highway 290 (be sure to check out 290 Wine Shuttle!)

This cabin is part of the Hadianna Homes at Lost Creek property which offers 3 other beautiful 1800’s cabins all secluded separately on 7 ½ beautiful acres. Great Quick Getaway

My spouse and I took a quick getaway to the Hill Country. We enjoyed a hike to the summit of Enchanted Rock. We strolled on Main St and checked out a few shops. Loved the gem we found at Airport Diner. All in close proximity to cabin. My only complaint was that the highway was a little noisy from the cabin.

The stay

It is a very nice cabin that is close to Fredericksburg, but far enough away that you feel you are way out in the country. The only drawback is the TV was not working. After a long day of seeing Fredericksburg, we like to kick back, relax and watch TV. I feel that if I am paying a premium price for a VRBO, then all of the amenities should be working. Otherwise, nice place.

We booked a night at the 1800's Cactus Cabin to celebrate our anniversary. It was such a fun, unique place! It was located out of the hustle and bustle of town, yet close enough for convenience. It was very clean, and it had a fun hot tub out under the stars. Our only regret was that we only had 1 night, but we'll be back.

42nd Anniversary

Our host Melissa and our stay at her perfect cozy cabin was wonderful. If it would not have been us wanting to see the bluebonnets and Beautiful town we would have stay at the cabin. The Cabin was like you stepped back in time. We loved the rocking chairs on the porch and the two cats that stayed there. Cannot recommend this cabin enough.

Wonderful

My husband and I stayed at Cactus Cabin for our 1 year wedding anniversary and we could not have asked for a better weekend getaway. The cabin was cozy and clean and the hostess was so attentive. We arrived to a rose petal lined walkway, a bottle of champagne and a sweet note. It felt like a fairytale! We would recommend Cactus Cabin to anyone!

Romantic Hideaway

Super clean, smelled amazing, charming and rustic! We wanted to stay somehwere for our anniversary that was tucked away and we found that at Cactus Cabin. Communication with Melissa was quick and she provided so many details and fun things to do in the welcome packet. Highly recommned and we will be back!

Amazing Cabin - We Never Wanted To Leave!

First things first, the Property Manager, Melissa, was incredible. She was extremely communicative, made the booking and stay process easy and foolproof, and kept in touch the entire time just in case we needed anything. The cabin itself was truly a sight to behold! When we pulled up, it just had the look of peace and tranquility we were after. Melissa has it beautifully decorated, and once you settle in, you REALLY wish you never had to leave. lt was such a beautiful little cabin. The furniture was extremely comfortable, all the basics were taken care of, and it even had great little extras like a TV with a Roku and a gorgeous faux-fireplace that just set a calming and relaxing mood in the room. There were also rocking chairs on the porch to just enjoy the evening, and some really friendly outdoor cats that like to hang out with you! My wife and I have made a pact that we will return to the same cabin multiple times per year going forward, because we were able to just decompress, go antiquing, tour some wineries, and come back home to our temporary paradise and slide in to the hot to to relax my bad back. I rarely write reviews for anything, but this trip was so amazing and the cabin is just perfect that I couldn't pass up the opportunity. The best part is you can tell it is very well maintained and kept up, so hopefully we can continue to visit as much as we want in the future! Thank you for everything, Melissa! You are truly a wonderful Hostess!

Anniversary Getaway

Perfect romantic getaway to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. The cabin was remote, but super close to downtown. It was private, cozy, very comfortable bed, loved the hot tub. Would absolutely recommend and hope to come back and stay again!
