Lots of character due to its age. Bathrooms were updated and had all amenities needed. Great location and lots of parking. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will go back again!

Not for me

Just very musty smelling. I apparently didn’t research enough before booking. It’s a very old place and known for that charm, I guess. But not what I expected or wanted. It was dank, so musty and outdated for me. Had to leave and go somewhere else. The smell was giving us a headache. And wouldn’t work with us about letting us out of the three night stay. I offered to pay for one and they wouldn’t do it. So we just lost the money, left and went to an updated normal hotel. My husband’s fault. He booked it. Lesson learned. And don’t go always go by the ratings…. I guess everyone has different tastes

Amazing location. Service was terrific. The hotel is truly historic all the way to the phones in the room. We were there during the songwriters convention (lucky circumstance). If you are looking for a great location right in the heart of Gatlinburg I can’t recommend this place enough.

Very clean. Being a historic property it does have a musty smell. I was disappointed that there was no refrigerator. Beds were loud every time you moved. In saying this it is a historic property. I did love the balconies with rocking chairs. The outside is very pretty and well maintained. It is a charming hotel, you just have to give up something’s when staying in a historic hotel.
