Really poor communication by management company

First of all our initial stay was changed due to the house we booked being sold. The management company actually did a great job setting us up with another option. The issues came while we were at the house. Getting there was fine, we were able to get into the house without issue. There was no information or booklet though welcoming us. didn't have proper remotes for the TV, no wifi code & then no cell phone service. Then our refrigerator was broken and would not cool down. We Called regarding the fridge and had to leave a message & we received 0 communication from them and then without warning a man comes to the house, uses the key and lets himself in while we had a guest (female) inside sleeping. Turns out the fridge was a known problem - not sure why they didn't check it before we arrived or perhaps, buy a new fridge. We also had people show up in the back yard to do landscaping while we were home - thankfully no one was using the hot tub back there. All calls and emails went unanswered until after our stay. I asked repeatedly for a link to leave a review and was completely ignored. House is hot as hell - no AC and only a couple of fans in the house. One of the gals saw a mouse and there was loads of bugs inside.

Wouldn't let us check in just a tiny bit early and gave us a hard time about checking out just an hour late. Communication was not easy.

The property was phenomenal! Check in process was very easy. The house situates on top so you get a great view of the lake. It’s also close to the town, about 10 mins of drive. Will definitely stay again in the future.

Poor Communication

We were contacted by VRBO via email regarding the blizzard conditions in the area we were traveling to the morning of our scheduled arrival date. We attempted to contact the property owner before leaving as recommended by VRBO to confirm that the property was still available. The property owner never replied to our messages. VRBO did not reply when we reached out to them either. Our oven did not work. We spent a lot of money on ribeye steaks and couldn't prepare our steaks for dinner. All our meals were compromised. There is no ventilation system for the cooktop which is a fire hazard. You could see daylight through the outdoor walls in the master bedroom. The curtains hung over the baseboard heaters as a fire hazard. Most of the sticks to adjust blinds were broken. The furnace never worked properly. The heat never got above 65 degrees. We were never notified ahead of time that a snow removal crew was coming to plow the driveway, after we spent hours removing snow from the driveway the day before. All the blinds were dusty and cobwebs all over ceilings. Toys and other items were found under couches upon arrival.

Beautiful views of the Lake

This house was very modern in many ways and had many upgrades that made it luxurious. Bidets in multiple bathrooms and heated bathroom floor in master. It has easy access to hot tube. Luxurious furniture and beds. It is a three story house with lots of stairs. Parking is also very limited for larger vehicles like trucks or SUVs. It does not have a BBQ or much outdoor furniture on the patio to enjoy the view. Additional the kitchen appliances are not the best. Stove was a hit and miss on heating consistently and Oven door did not seal closed so it would not heat up properly unless something was pressed up against it to keep it closed. We did love our stay and appreciated the amazing views of the lake everyday.

Beautiful home

The house was spacious enough for our group! The rec room downstairs was great since it became the hangout place for the kids. Maybe some unfurnished details like the missing door knob in bottom room but otherwise the house beautiful and it was a great weekend for everyone!!! Thank you.
