This accommodation was really lovely. It's in a great location overlooking the mountains, and the common space was very cozy. The breakfast had a great selection, and it was a plus that hot drinks were available all day. The host was very friendly and gave us a tour when we arrived and was quick to help with any questions. The room itself was nice - it was clean and the bed was very comfy, but the bath/shower could do with a little bit of TLC.

The town and services are just on the other side of the river. Located just 2 miles down a well kept, dirt road, the lodge is secluded and quiet. Beautiful lodge with a grand open area with fireplace and sitting rooms. Breakfast was self serve and abundant. Very clean, everyone is asked to remove your shoes before entering the lodge, with slippers available. Definately recommend!

Fantastic accomodations! Loved everything about the place. One downside was there is no cooking area except for a microwave. In photos shown there is a stove and oven to use but that wasn’t the case. Overall though we were very happy. Guests are quiet, breakfast was filling enough, fridge and freezer available, hot shower, beautiful morning view over looking valley, good firm beds, clean rooms and super cosy atmosphere.

BnB. Required taking off street shoes and wear flip flop or house shoes inside- that is their custom but odd for me. They had a nice big fridge anyone could label items and keep food there, I used the freezer for my ice packs I use during the day to keep food and drinks in a small travel cooler.

Peaceful, rustic, basic .

The relatively remote setting and the traditional style of accommodation appealed to me and the staff are really welcoming and helpful. However, the accommodation is very basic; no air con , no tv , no refreshments in the room and an uncomfortable bed . The breakfast was ok , but basic . If that’s what you’re looking for- a simple stay - this will suit you. Mosquitoes at night are savage so pack some repellent.

Very nice staff and quiet lodge in the woods. Simple but hearty breakfast. The lodge is accessible through a 4-km gravel road in the forest. Bring insect repellent in summer as there’s an army of mosquitoes outside at dusk and dawn.

When I booked the accommodation, I was not aware that the lodge was located in a forest. I was, therefore, surprised when were driving at around 10.00 pm and turn to Elk street, it was an unpaved road and we had to drive through the wilderness for 4 miles. we were unsure if we would end up at the lodge. However, we did reach the lodge, and once were inside, we were at ease. The lady at the front desk gave us the key to our room, without even asking for my ID or credit card. The lodge was clean, aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. I would be happy to stay at the lodge if we were to be in Golden again.

The property was amazing and the accommodations were unusual, rustic, beautiful views etc. The owners thought of everything you might need to make it a good stay. Like being at home, only so much nicer! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was lacking AC. I managed a good sleep with a sheet and the window open, but we had cool weather last night. I will definitely visit again but it'll be when the weather is cool. :)

The property was beautiful, well maintained and really clean. It’s located outside the city on the hills so it felt like a hillside resort vacation- relaxed and quiet and comfortable.
