I will say the person was friendly enough upon check-in. The full breakfast was very good. I was supposed to stay two nights but I cancelled the second night. Dirty and old. I wasn't sure if I should feel safe or not, given the surroundings and the people outside arguing late at night. I would not recommend it.
The window sills. I didn't even take pics of the curtains and the showerhead coming apart from the wall.

Miss Nita, our hostess, was so very helpful, efficient and kind. Our room was clean and the beds were SO comfy!! Breakfast was hot, fresh, tasty and awesome, NOT your basic hotel breakfast! They are also renovating rooms! It’s an older motel but VERY cared for!

The walls are crazy thin so we got zero sleep as people kept walkibg around and banging all night long. Also breakfast closes at 9am and by 7:50am there was zero breakfast left. Apart from a couple rotten/brown bananas

Toilet seat was a soft seat, but it was full of cracks so very, very dirty. The curtains were all torn up. And wouldn’t close properly. The carpet smelled horrible. The silverware was just four small plastic forks and one small spoon. I’ve had coffee pot pods, but only one cup and we a couple. We will never stay there again. The woman agreed us was very nice, but it definitely needed a lot of work. We were four people each got a room and both rooms had serious issues. The heat didn’t work. Very very noisy heater and air conditioner. I ended up spending half of the night sleeping in my car. Because the mattress was as hard as a rock harder than the floor. It was a sad way to start our vacation.

Currently, the property is under upgrading construction. Under these conditions the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a room where the the rug had just been steam cleaned. Looked good! The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a standard toilet not one of those kiddy ones! That's a plus. Someone had taken the cord from the fridge. The breakfast was nothing special but again the staff was pleasant and helpful. The Ponderosa was handy for our traveling home and I hope to return to see their renovations. Plus it's super close to the observatory!

Okay for the price. The room was very spacious but the TV didn’t work and the beds were horribly squeaky. The queen bed was slanted downwards at the headboard so very uncomfortable and the metal bunk beds were so squeaky they woke everyone up all night. Breakfast wasn’t great either. All the fruit was rotten and hot items were extremely u appetizing.

The Motel was not as was presented in the web, the room wasn’t even clean enough, the air conditioning was in bad condition, the controls all damaged and only one temperature was set up. The up stairs walk area was dirty and needs someone care. The room walls in some areas was stains. Overall this place needs some work. But no all was bad, the front desk was very nice and the breakfast was good. If they take care of rooms and the outside of the building can be a good place to stay for the money.

Drove 5 hrs and no room with reservations!

Poor poor management. I booked this place 3 weeks ago. I drove 5 hours and my kids are tired. I get there and the room was canceled. Not one person called me. Management didn’t call anyone that had a room. Everyone was sent away. How crappy is that on a holiday weekend in a town with only two motels. Will never book here again and this was my first time booking here.

They were unable to provide a room to me. The receptionist gave me plastic cards for three different rooms, neither of room has electronic lock. All metal keys were missing. No manager was at the size, reportedly the manager was fired earlier that day. Finally (after an hour of this boring nightmare) I just went to another motel. Yet have to get my money back because the room was paid in advance.

Had reservations (paid via expedia) but woman at desk couldn't open the door to my room because of an issues with the electronic key. The Motel still charged me and said I need to get the refund from Expedia. Really? The poderosa collected it. They can now deal with Visa. The woman at the desk was very polite and nice and it wasn't her fault. I guess I involve Expedia and Visa.

Disappointed

Made the reservation but they didn't have my room as it was uncleaned. Front desk person was nice but, clearly over their head. I'm now required to work to get my payment back after a long trip.

Property needs an update. One bed was newer than the other. The room wasn't very clean when we arrived. This is the first time I have never had to show my ID while checking in. I was give a key card, got to my room to find out it needed a key. But it didn't matter since my room was unlocked when I tried to open the door. Breakfast was great!
