The hotel is in a convenient location next to the mall. The room was clean and the staff were friendly at check in and accommodating especially at check out. Cookies at check in were a nice touch. The hotel was built in 1971 and was once called the Grande Prairie Motor Inn. Of course it has been refurbished over the years and has changed names. In the late 80’s we stayed there. Our daughters were young and loved the pool. Sadly the pool and area is in huge need of a face lift as it is very neglected. When I entered to check it out, it looked like renos were in progress . I thought the floor had been taken up and they were ready to install new tile over the bare cement floor. This was not the case. The pool was not inviting as the smell of chlorine was strong and the water wasn’t clear. It definitely did not give a ‘jump in’ vibe which was really disappointing as I was looking forward to getting in. Pomoroy … definitely time to have an update to that area as a sparkling pool is a huge perk especially for families.

The room was great! The food was superb! We did however arrive just after 3 for check in and they said our room wasnt ready yet so we went to eat dinner amd came back and it still wasnt ready. I am aware there was a funeral that day but staff shouldve been prepared for this.

The pullout bedding was unwashed, and no pillows were provided. We had to argue to get new bedding and pillows even tho our stay was for multiple people as indicated at booking. The front desk staff tried their best to help as minimally as possible. The breakfast woman was a narc reminding people it would be put away at 10, in a threatening/unwelcoming manner arriving at 9:30. As soon as the clock stuck 10:00 she rapidly removed all food 😆😹 Terrible hospitality won’t be returning

2 night stay. Tub wasn’t clean, but they sent in housekeeping and gave a discount on the room. Pool was good. Hot tub was just warming up but was ok. Ordered room service - food was good but not amazing. Room was super quiet. Staff was accommodating. Pomeroy is still one of the best hotels in GP.

We checked in only to find that our room had not been cleaned. We had to go back downstairs and wait to be assigned another room. After going out for supper, we returned to find the parking lot completely full. We were never informed about any additional or overflow parking options. We attempted to call the hotel for over 10 minutes with no answer and eventually had to walk back inside just to find out where we could park. Overall, this was a very poor experience from start to finish. We will not be returning.

The person who checked us in was very kind and friendly. They even gave us cookies, which we really enjoyed. It was also nice that after 30 minutes, the front desk called to check if we were okay. The room was clean, and the washroom was spotless. It was just a bit warm when we first entered the room, but other than that, we enjoyed our stay. Checking out was smooth as well
