Tervetuloa Moonfloween! Tämä hiljattain remontoitu rantahotelli sijaitsee Gaulding Cayssa, joka on yksi Eleutheran kauneimmista rannoista. Gaulding Cay Beach, Karibian puolella Eleuthera, ominaisuuksia tunnetusti rauhallinen vesi ja kauniit auringonlaskunäkymät. Tämä 4 makuuhuoneen, 3 kylpy talossa on tyylikkäästi sisustettu natiivi Bahamian taidetta, paikallisia maalauksia ja maalauksia Mallorcan. Makuuhuoneissa on mukautetut päätylevyt ja muut mukautetut kalusteet. Makuuhuoneet ovat nimeltään "Star", "Horseshoe", "Anchor" ja neljäs makuuhuone, joka odottaa vielä nimeä.

"Star" -huoneistossa on henkeäsalpaava merinäköala, jossa on suora kansi ja kylpyhuone. Star on king-vuode ja lisävuode voidaan sijoittaa huoneeseen tarvittaessa. "Horseshoe" -hotellissa on puutarhanäköala ja trooppiset värit. Siinä on myös king-vuode. "Ankkurissa" on näkymät puutarhaan ja suora esiportaan pääsy. Huoneessa on king-vuode, ja siihen mahtuu ylimääräinen parivuode ja parivuode tarvittaessa. Neljäs makuuhuone, jota ei ole vielä nimetty, on myös king size -vuode. Gaulding Cay Beach, kuten kaikki Bahaman rannat, on julkinen. Can't Wait to Return

Our group of 6 had a great week at Moonflower. The amenities of the house (location to the beach, high quality chairs and floats, and bedrooms specifically) really helped us stay comfortable. While with any rental the kitchen can always use some updates (coffee maker, dish washer, sink) everything was adequate and we were able to cook up some feasts. We will definitely consider staying here next year and can't wait to be back. The only "big" improvement we could recommend would be if there was a screened in porch to be able to enjoy sitting outside in the evening away from the bugs.

I can’t even begin to explain how wonderful this trip was and the accommodations of the Moonflowers made it just that. Having the beautiful Gaulding Cay at our door step was second to none. From booking to arriving, staying and playing…10 out of 10 stars.

We were 9 adults, a 1 and 5 year old, and the house was spacious, comfortable, and family friendly. The beach is probably the nicest on the island and less than 100 yards from your front door and perfect for children of all ages. Another plus is a great restaurant Daddy Joes, a walk away from the entrance to the property. The owner Geeta, was very accommodating and a pleasure to have delt with. All in all a 5 star stay.

Perfect!

Moonflower is the perfect vacation home in a perfect setting for my three generation family. The layout of the house with one bedroom at both ends and two matching bedrooms in the middle provides quiet spaces and privacy. The large living room and open dining/kitchen areas provide room for gatherings. And I cannot say enough good things about the responsiveness of the owner, Geeta Nathan. When the WiFi went out I emailed her and within minutes she responded that Marty (who can fix anything) came over that very day. My grandkids even got to enjoy an Easter egg hunt in the large yard. Beautiful house on a beautiful and very quiet beach.

Will be returning!

Moonflower was perfect for our group of 6 adults and a 4 year old. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The living room allowed all of us to gather easily and the kitchen has everything you need. Gaulding is a beach without parrallel and just steps away from the house. Young children can play for hours in the water. Communication with the owners has been great from beginning to end. The house is just a super comfortable place - we’ll be returning!

It offers a well equipped kitchen and plenty of linens and towels. For outdoor fun they provide rafts, chairs and even 2 nice kayaks. On the rare occasion we had to contact the manager someone responded quickly.

It's so shallow even our toddlers could enjoy walking the beach.The house has everything. It's the most well stocked kitchen I've seen. It has any dish, utensil or pan you could ever want. There are stacks of beach towels too. The beds are comfy. Communication with Christine, the property manager was great. She is very responsive. We would stay here again. Loved every minute.

When we checked in it was exceptionally clean. The beds & bedding were comfortable, the kitchen had plenty of dishware, and the layout & location could not be better. You can walk right out to the beach in seconds and watch the sunset from the side porch. Do be aware that things like dishwashers and electricity don't always work perfectly in the Bahamas. And while we enjoyed many quiet times with no or few people on the beach, on two out of our 10 evenings there were parties in the parking area/pine grove which is between the house and beach. Fortunately, the participants were well behaved and left after the sun set. This is a wonderful place for children who enjoy sand and water activities. And for adults, too. We enjoyed snorkeling, paddle boarding, and kayaking in the calm, clear water while the kids loved being in their floats. Moonflower, Gaulding Cay, and Eleuthera are paradise!

It was resolved by the end of the day. We absolutely loved the location of the Moonflower. Gaulding Cay was our favorite beach. We enjoyed a day trip to Harbor Island. The Beaches of Eleuthera book at the house was very helpful, we visited quite a few of the top ranked beaches and loved them. The house was average clean. We did have issues with mice. We had a bag of chips closed on the countertop that got chewed on, so we put all our food in the refrigerator and were very prompt to take out the trash. We did end up catching mice in the bottom of our trash can. The island is not heavy with tourists. Many times we had beaches to ourselves. The WIFi was spotty and we didn’t find anything on TV which our teenagers didn’t enjoy, but it was actually not a bad thing if you are looking to “unplug”.

Fabulous home at the best beach

My wife and I have been to Eleuthera many times and got to bring two of our closest friends with us this time. Moonflower is spacious, airy, and well laid out for multiple couples. There's enough room to have privacy and come together in the common areas to have a good time. The entire process from reservation to (sadly) leaving and check-out was phenomenal and seamless. The house was so well kept, maintained, and clean that it felt welcoming every time we entered. Geeta and Christina were fantastic to communicate with when we had a couple questions. When a storm blew through for two days, it still felt like paradise because of how comfortable Moonflower was. While the house is a short walk (maybe 50-60 feet?) from the beach over a small rise, it made things feel more private and special. The gardens and landscaping around Moonflower were nice to walk through and just soak in the sights, smells and sounds. Secluded in the back is a private gazebo to read and enjoy some peace and quiet to doze in the sun away from others. Gaulding Cay beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and easily accessible. Snorkeling around the Cay itself was great at high tide as all the schools of fish came in. All the other diverse fish, sea fans, corals, and sponges just add to the experience. Thank you so much for helping make our trip amazing and giving our families a wonderful place to call home for a short time!

Moonflower was a very good experience

The Moonflower was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Directions to the house were accurate and easy to follow. The house was representative of the pictures and the content list. The grill apparently takes charcoal, something we didn't have but could have gone to the grocery store to get. I contacted Lady Di a couple times during our stay and she was quick to respond. We did see locals hanging out on the public beach In front of the house and none of them were an issue. From reading other reviews we need to expect that this was not a private beach and that was okay with us. A few people per day came. There are several neighbors who own dogs and they are all very friendly. I was able to drag a straight back chair down to the beach each morning to enjoy my coffee. All of the other lounge & reclining chairs around the house and at the far end of the property under a gazebo were chained with padlocks so I couldn't move them. For an island that boasts near 0% crime, the message that chained up chairs send is that this is not a safe place. It wasn't just inconvenient. I don't suppose it mattered because there weren't any cushions. It was appreciated that there was plenty of snorkel equipment available so we cleaned some off and used it. Next time we are on Eleuthera we would definitely consider staying at the Moonflower again.

Reviewer Comments: Eleuthera has a very chilled vibe, people very friendly, children unfailingly polite, very few tourists although it was the end of the season when we visited. Beaches are beautiful. If you want to get away from it all, whilst still having access to civilisation you cant do much better than Eleuthera. Food is expensive,approximately 2 x prices in UK, and don't expect the choice you might be used to at home. Moonflower itself is suited to the overall feeling of the island, very relaxed, plenty of room, comfortable and nicely appointed without being blingy. There were a few things which could do with updating / replacing but nothing serious. There is a decent sized garden surrounding the house, but you will spend all your time on the beach which is really beautiful. The water is shallow, crystal clear and sheltered from the prevailing wind. If you like to snorkel, Gaulding Cay is nice, we saw Nassau Groupers, a big snapper, a huge eagle ray, schools of Blue Runners, angel fish, and big shoals of silversides. There isn't much coral but what there is is in good condition. Twin Sisters beach to the North also has a couple of Cays, also good snorkelling and we saw lobster, puffer fish and moray eels on both. The best snorkelling is to the South - take the canoes past Kravitz beach, a small rock breaks the surface at the end of the cliffs. From here onwards it's really good - massive rays, morays, turtles, nice coral. Other good things - the Sapphire Hole about 1/2 mile on the right before you reach Preachers Caves, great fun. Harbour Island - golf carts, cracked conch and beer on the beach. Daddy Joes restaurant. Breakfast at the Cove ($25 per head relatively good value). All the beaches. Lady Di and her lovely family. Great memories.

Well provisioned kitchen, AC & internet worked well. Bedrooms were great and was nice to have 3 full baths. Kayaks, water toys, beach towels/chairs are a nice touch. Water pressure was a little low at times, but if you're worried about that, you probably shouldn't be on Eleuthera anyway. Snorkeling Gaulding Cay is always awesome and was a daily activity for us. Overall, the house exceeded our expectations and the description provided. Owner and housekeeper were an absolute pleasure to deal with and their communication was always timely and on point. This is a very desirable location and there are sometimes tourists and locals alike who parked beside the house to access the beach. We enjoyed meeting and talking with them all. But most of the time you have the beach to yourself. Overall an amazing stay, and we certainly hope to visit Moonflower again!

We had 4 children and 4 adults and all felt like we had plenty of space. You cannot beat the location - close to everything in Gregory Town and located on the most beautiful beach - Gaulding Cay. Very clean with great amenities. Caretakers were super responsive and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again.
