Summary:
An atmospheric tiny house ideal for young couples or solo travelers who want to escape the hustle and bustle. Enjoy peace, nature, a wood stove, privacy and a view. Perfect for unwinding, reading, walking or just being quiet.
The Space:
Our tiny house is compact yet surprisingly complete. Inside, you'll find a warm, minimalist atmosphere with natural materials, a cozy seating area, a well-equipped kitchen, and a comfortable double bed. The wood stove adds a touch of coziness on cooler days. Large windows and French doors bring the outdoors in, offering views of the dike and the fields. Step outside onto your private terrace to enjoy the sun, a good book, or simply the silence. This is a place to breathe, slow down, and truly take time for yourself or each other.
- Sustainable & Energy-Efficient: Fully powered by 22 solar panels.
- Comfortable Amenities: Kitchen with oven, microwave function, induction hob, luxurious rain shower, and a pellet stove for romantic evenings.
- Great Coffee & Tea: Enjoy sustainable coffee from De Koffiejongen and relaxing Pukka teas.
- Loft Bedroom: A cozy sleeping nook with a premium Matt Sleep topper and quality bed linens.
- Modern Comforts: Air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi, and a comfy lounge space for relaxation or remote work.
The house is inspired by the Tiny House movement—living more simply, with fewer distractions. After a long beach walk, make yourself a warm cup of tea and snuggle up by the pellet stove. Adventurous surf photos and elements like wood and steel echo throughout the house. The modern, customized Ikea kitchen with oak details will likely catch your eye the moment you enter. You can tell every detail has been thoughtfully chosen—just look at the luxurious rain shower with matte black finishes and the beautifully designed loft. Tiny House Beach & Balance is perfect for two guests, so bring your partner, a close friend, or even your daughter along!
Guest Access:
Please note: Due to the steep stairs to the sleeping loft, the house is less suitable for people with walking difficulties.
The Neighborhood:
Make a pact with yourself that you will go to Zeeuws-Vlaanderen once a year for a weekend (or longer). To walk through the beautiful nature, to enjoy delicious Burgundian food or to just completely relax. Whichever of the three you choose, book a few nights at Tiny House Groede in the hamlet of 'Kruisdijk' near the villages of Breskens and Groede and you know you're in the right place.
Walk or cycle along the coastline, spot seals or stroll along winding dike roads. In the distance you sometimes see ships passing by, but otherwise it is mainly quiet here - except for the sound of birds and the wind. At night it is dark and quiet, with a starry sky that you rarely see anymore. In the area there are picturesque villages and local farm shops. For those who want to blow away the cobwebs, walk, meditate or just want to be offline for a while, this is the ideal place. No tourist crowds, but a pure and simple environment that invites peace and reflection.
Take a trip to vibrant cities such as Bruges, Ghent or Antwerp, just a short drive away.
Getting Around:
Bus station is 200 meters walk away. With that, you can take the Westerschelde Ferry to Vlissingen or to Sluis and Bruges (BE).
Other Things to Note:
We strive to make your stay even more enjoyable every year. Thanks to the valuable feedback from our guests and the expertise of my father-in-law, who worked as a carpenter all his life, we implement improvements every year in March and November.
The latest improvements in November 2024:
- Entertainment: A television with Dutch and German channels and Netflix.
- Kitchen pleasure: Extensive kitchen inventory for delicious cooking on the induction hob or in the combi oven.
- Active enjoyment: Two free bicycles (if available) for beautiful trips in the area.
- General maintenance, painting, caulking and major cleaning.
We look forward to letting you enjoy these improvements during your stay!
