Hanalei Colony Resort E3 - completely updated ocean view apartment in north shore Kauai's only true beachfront resort, recently voted one of Travel + Leisure's top 20 favorite resorts. Dedicated high-speed internet make it a great remote work choice. These unique Hanalei vacation rentals are just steps away from the secluded sandy beach that fronts the property!

This lovely upstairs corner condo has been completely remodeled inside and completely refurnished. It's gorgeous and upscale and comfortable, with a large shady lanai and ocean view, all about 30 seconds from the sand. There is one bedroom, furnished with a king bed. For privacy, it can be closed off from the rest of the unit with sliding shoji screens which still allow air flow to keep you cool at night. A second bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, and also has sliding shoji screens for visual privacy. Note that sound will still carry, so if you're streaming a late-night movie, be sure to keep the volume low. The living and dining areas are comfortably furnished and there are dramatic ocean views from each of the large picture windows. You won't mind cooking in the lovely remodeled kitchen with upscale touches like subway tile backsplash and rich wood cabinetry. The bathroom has also been completely updated and boasts similar touches of subway tile and rich wood. While there are no televisions in the apartments, wifi is provided so you won't be completely cut off from the modern world. (Only as cut off as you wish to be.)

In addition to Hanalei Colony Resort E3's beautiful interior and views, and the beach just in front, this Hanalei rental offers additional amenities for guests to enjoy, including swimming pool, jacuzzi, barbecue grills, and guest laundry room. Walk next door to the Opakapaka Bar and Grill or across the parking lot to the Hanalei Day Spa. Just a few minutes past the charming town of Hanalei, you'll find that shopping and dining options are conveniently close. It's the perfect Kauai vacation rental for proposals, honeymoons, anniversaries, and other romantic occasions.

While wonderfully furnished and right next to the beach, please know that the development was built in simpler times. The units are smaller and have kitchens to match. Some normal amenities will be absent given the space and purposeful attempt to honor the simplicity of earlier times: you won’t find a dishwasher or washing machine in any of the units (there is a laundry room on the premises), and most units have no televisions (though wifi is available for those of us who can't escape work or want to stream our favorite shows).

As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned.

This is an upstairs condo so you need to be able to go up and down stairs. There are no elevators.
