Oceanfront, dog-friendly condo with ocean view, central AC & WiFi

Guest are jumping over to beautiful oceanfront Mullet Over! Mullet Over is very close to the elevator and has a small entry loveseat on the north side deck that offers views of the Pamlico Sound and National Park. The queen bedroom has beautiful wood laminate flooring, a TV and DVD player, and a semi-private full bath with a tub/shower combo. The kitchen has tile flooring, a dishwasher, a breakfast bar, and ample countertops. The combination living area has resort furniture, tile flooring, an LCD TV and Blu-ray player, and deck access. A great furnished sundeck overlooks the island's best beach, pool, and hot tub. The family dog will love being taken for walks on the beach, just steps away!

At ground level, you will find a large fish-cleaning station, grills, and picnic tables. Elevator service is available to all levels. Just grab a luggage cart from the first-floor coin-operated laundry facility and roll your luggage to your condo door. Additional community amenities include high-speed internet and free WiFi, a community pool (available May to Labor Day), a hot tub (available from April to November), and an outdoor shower. The Durant Station Community Center is topped by the historic tower from the original Durant Lifesaving Station. This is the ideal location for corporate meetings, wedding parties, or for enjoying the space with family and friends. This area boasts a first-floor sitting room with a large flatscreen TV, an electric fireplace (available November to March), and an upper-level game room with a pool table and a complete kitchen.

This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.
There is an elevator in building.
A car is necessary to reach this condo.

Hot water heater broken for 2 full days - could have been 1 but owner wanted 2nd opinion from their preferred repairman-no compensation offered to us. Some dishware dirty. Vacuum cleaner bag had not been dumped & emitted odor of vomit. Hot tub had not been cleaned & thick brown scum formed almost solid on surface when running. I was informed compsny cleans at check-in & also middle of week. I observed check-ins are staggered... Requested compensation requested for 2 days without Hot water was never resolved by vacasa.

We had a great time! The pool and beach did not disappoint! The unit could use a long handled squeegee for the porch. We had a few storms and the water collected. It would have been nice to push the water off the balcony.

This is our new favorite spot in OBX

We haven’t stayed this far south in OBX but it was well worth the drive. The condo was clean, has a well stocked kitchen, and just steps away from the beach. We would love to stay here again!

First Trip to Hatteras

This was out first trip to the Outer Banks and we loved it. The condo was clean and in a great location. We could sit outside on the balcony and listen to the waves. The condo kitchen was well stocked with useful items and the tv had so many channels. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay

Me and my husband stayed here for a week to get away and enjoy some relaxation. I highly recommend staying here I do think the owners should upgrade their mattress at the couch is not very comfortable but it wouldn't stop me from renting again.

Great oceanfront place to enjoy with your dog

This was my second stay at Mullet Over so, this time, I knew exactly what to bring to make myself at home, extra cushions for the furniture, cooking spices, a single cup brewer to name a few. The two things that make these condos at Durant Station exceptional are an elevator and luggage carts (stored in the laundry room). For those of us that are older or have some disabilities, this makes it easier to settle in and enjoy frequent trips to the beach throughout the day!

The price is for the view

This property needs updating. The couch was so uncomfortable we couldn't sit on it for more than 15 minutes. Cushions could use cleaning. The bed was horrible, the frame creaked and the mattress was hard. We actually ended up sleeping on the pullout which was softer but also in need of repair-made noise every time you moved. Shower head is unacceptable- $75 at Home Depot would solved that! We found ourselves staying out of the unit more than we had planned because it just wasn't a great place to hang. The view from the deck was wonderful and the 5 minutes to "sand in toes" walk was perfect.

Comfortable Coastal Condo

Condo was what we expected based on photos. It was very clean and well stocked, especially the kitchen. We had the promised ocean and pool views. Location is quiet and convenient to shopping and dining. If I return to Hatteras I would stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality!

More than what we expected

Place was so clean, cozy and directly by the beach! They had everything we needed. We stopped up the street and bought groceries and cooked most of the time. The pool and hot tub was amazing! We are definitely going back!

Avoid - Not well maintained

The unit does have a partial ocean view and close access to the beach. Parking was easy. However, the unit is not well maintained and does not justify the prices being charged. During our stay we had the following problems: Locks corroded so keys did not work and had to use key pad (combination provided by cleaning staff that shouted it down a public hallway), electric outlets in bedrooms did not work, paint peeling on bathroom cabinet and patio floor boards, floor peeling on patio, patio furniture mildewed and rusty, towel rack did not support weight of two towels, toilet paper holder missing, shower did not drain due to build up of sand, sheets on bed were sandy, and pillows on bed were so old that we had to go into town and buy 10 dollar replacement pillows that were a significant improvement. Beyond these maintenance issues, the bed creaked and sofa had stains on the cushions. Both the bed and couch were uncomfortable. Not worth the summer prices charged. Would consider at $200 or less if maintenance issues were addressed.
