Thistledown Lodge is a peaceful, self-contained cottage just 5 minutes from Broad Haven Beach. Enjoy your own garden, seating area, and private parking. Relax in comfort with beautiful countryside views. Dog-friendly for up to two medium-sized dogs 🐕—the perfect base to explore Pembrokeshire’s coast, beaches, and wildlife.

3 guests maximum. Thistledown Lodge offers a stylish open-plan living area with a modern kitchen featuring a fridge, dishwasher, induction hob, and combination oven, grill, and microwave. (Instructions provided)
There’s a very comfortable sofa bed in the living area for an extra guest.
The bedroom has a 6-foot zip-and-link bed, which can be separated into two singles. Our bed gets lots of great reviews.
Enjoy entertainment with Smart TVs (bedroom & living room), satellite channels, and free Wi-Fi.
The bathroom includes a walk-in shower, free toiletries, towels, and bedding provided for your stay. Guests have full use of the private garden and outdoor seating area — perfect for relaxing after a coastal walk.
There’s off-road parking available beside the lodge for easy access.

Thistledown Lodge is just a 5-minute drive (2.5 km) from Broad Haven Beach — ideal for swimming, paddleboarding, and sunset walks.
Nearby Little Haven (8 mins / 3.5 km) offers a charming cove, pubs, and seaside dining, while Nolton Haven (12 mins / 6 km) provides quiet sands and dramatic cliffs.
Pembroke Castle - 17 km / 20 mins

Coastal Walks

Explore the Pembrokeshire Coast Path directly from Broad Haven:
• Broad Haven Circular Walk – 2.6 km (~45 min)
• Broad Haven to Nolton Haven – 6 km (~2 hrs)
• Broad Haven & Haroldston Woods – 5.1 km (~1.5 hrs)
All routes offer breathtaking sea views and opportunities to spot local wildlife.

Wildlife & Nature
• Skomer Island – 20 mins to Martin’s Haven for boat trips. Between April–August, see puffins, guillemots, and seals in their natural habitat — a must-see!
• Dolphin & Seal Spotting – Head to St Brides Bay, Broad Haven, or Newgale for frequent sightings. Boat tours run from Dale and Martin’s Haven.

A very nice and well appointed unit on a scenic peaceful property. Wonderful hosts. As accommodation it can’t be beat. We were travelling by bus. The closest bus is from Broadway, about 2.5 km away. Limited service but still okay. Taxi from town is about 15 pounds. So, a car is preferable but not absolutely necessary. Ensure to visit Pembroke castle and walk the coastal path from Broad Haven. Hope this helps.

I stayed at the property with my wife and our Cockerpoo dog whilst our son was on his football team end of season tour in Broadhaven. The property was beautiful, very well fitted out and very clean, we had a warm welcome from the host who asked if we were ok with their son having a bbq with guests in the Saturday evening in their adjoining property, and even suggested we join them for a drink. Great location, lovely property and very welcoming hosts. Highly recommended!

Fantastic accommodation

The property was spotlessly clean and furnished to a really high standard, the owners had thought of everything. Perfect location and close to lots of amazing places. I would highly recommend the lodge and would love to stay again.
