While we loved the creek trails and the thoughtful Christmas tree, our stay was marred by significant discrepancies between the listing and reality.Key Issues:• Restricted Access: We booked a 5-bedroom/4-bath cabin, yet the lower level (2 bedrooms/1 bath) was locked. We brought 4 children so the extra bathroom would have been great! • Cleanliness: Housekeeping was poor. We understand it is a pet friendly cabin however, we found pet hair on "clean" linens and thick dust under furniture. We spent our first day tidying up and doing laundry to feel comfortable. • Maintenance & Amenities: The dryer broke on Christmas Eve and was never fixed, despite promises of a repairman. The stove struggled to boil water, and the master closet was locked for owner storage, leaving us no place to hang clothes in the master bedroom. • Lack of Control: The thermostat is Wi-Fi locked, and there are multiple undisclosed cameras. While we don't mind security, privacy policies usually require full disclosure of recording devices.The photos are misleading; the cabin needs "TLC," fresh paint, and deep cleaning. We enjoyed the property overall but the lack of basic maintenance made this stay disappointing for the price. We recommend the host update their listing to accurately reflect accessible space and improve their cleaning standards. There also is no access to water by the fire pit area.
