Quiet retreat

We enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable with a nice porch that had a swing. The bath was very spacious and there was a small kitchenette available. I'm sure in the fall this place is beautiful!

We travel as a family mini vacations. And it was more than expected. The place was beautiful. We love to ride horses. Cabin was clean and pretty. The view from our balcony was amazing. We enjoyed every minute on this place

We came to Forrest Hills for our Anniversary and my birthday. There was no kitchenette which wasn’t super clear on the website. The plantation was run down and under construction. We paid $240 for a couples massage (they required gratuity) that was literally walked in on by another guest. My husband and I were both half naked on the tables and several young women were running around in the lobby and one of them opened the door while we were in the middle of what was supposed to be a relaxing massage. The bed was comfortable and the hot tub was nice but ultimately we were expecting more. It’s a pretty place but it’s not worth the amount of money we paid to go.

For this particular occasion, I wanted the setting to be somewhat rustic and Forrest Hills was the perfect environment. The exterior of the buildings needs some facelift, but we were pleasantly surprised by the conditions of the rooms that looked like they had been recently renovated. Staff was very accommodating and pleasant food at the Hideaway restaurant was excellent along with the service.

The pictures on the website didn't really match our room. The outside of the buildings are a cabin- country vibe but the inside of our room was a modern hotel look. I did find something on the shower wall that looked pretty disgusting; looks like it came from someone's nose or throat. It washed off with the handheld shower head and I showed the photo I took to the lobby person when we checked out.
