The good: Super helpful with getting me a last minute taxi from the airport to the apartment. Very comfortable bed and great location for getting around the city. Good WiFi connection and lots of incredible food options. Needs work: The first room I was put in was nothing like advertised so contacted the owner who told me they’re all the same. I contacted Expedia who in turn also contacted the owner and presented me with the option to stay one night a leave (not a convenient option baring in mind I was work international hours whilst traveling and needed to start at 5:30am). They then stopped answering calls from Expedia and Expedia customer service told me to speak with the hotel receptionist- which I had to keep explaining there’s no hotel receptionist as it’s basically an apartment short-let. Expedia essentially left me stranded with an offer of a £25 credit to use with them which has never materialised and never followed up on the outcome of the situation. I was able to contact the owner who agreed to let me move to another room. The second room was closer in appearance to what was advertised but was a bit run down and dusty/with blonde hair left on the floor. I know it’s common and I don’t think it’s down to the cleanliness of the apartment but most days I was killing a lot of cockroaches and I guess due to the closeness to the river, the drains often had a funky smell. The TV was old and unable to have Netflix work
